My thoughts on free +12 items.

So... don't pander to players like them, who wanted and like the change.... Instead, pander to players like you who liked the old way and/or don't like or don't want the change as implemented...?

Losing an enchant level you have received can soon set you back from +10 to +0. Last few games Ive played the enchant system has been so severe I no longer play the games.

There is no fun playing a game and ending up frustrated because RNG rules the game. My opinion is if it is easier for all to reach +12 then it just keeps the game a lot more balanced than just favouring those players who can spend major hours farming to make the money.

basically this. Anyone complaining that this makes getting +12 gear too easy is just a Bad who wants to be carried by gear.

Honestly, there is really no reason to respond to people with an IQ of a rock. I'll reply to you anyway though.

Go read my suggestion. THEN post pertaining to the suggestion/topic.

Is my original post in a foreign language or something? Did I some how translate from English to Korean?

You make a great point! Which is why I suggested what I suggested. Instead of having it a Vendor money sync, why not benefit the players who work on crafting!

Wait, when did we start getting free items?

This is my curiosity, as well.

It's still gonna cost a crap ton of gold - that's hardly free. And they're not guaranteeing you'll get a +point to your gear every time you try to enchant it; far from it, really. All they've done is take out the pointless punishment.

This would force every person to take weapons as a craft because in the gaming world players are not known for their honesty. I would imaging the GM's would be spending most of their time responding to tickets from players who had lost their items to the crafter.

I think also you are assuming that EVERY enhance attempt is going to succeed but the reality is some are going to fail you just wont lose the levels you have already achieved. Knowing my enhancing luck 1 in 10 attempts will succeed so I would hardly call that FREE. :D

Oh I read it... I just read Between the lines... Personal insults are always the last resort of a simple mind...

I just happen to like the change fine as is... Having a different opinion don't make someone stupider then you... Just means they disagree... from the looks of it I am not the only one either....
Edited by: Egophile about 1 year ago - Reason: P.S. I responded before you edited out the part about them pandering to people...

Here, since I don't think you actually read the announcement, let me post it for you.

Certain items can be enchanted in TERA to increase its effectiveness. The change we will be implementing is the removal of the chance that an unsuccessful enchanting attempt will decrease the item's enchantment level. ***This means once you earn that enchant level it is yours to keep***. In order to offset this change we have introduced 3 tiers of Alkahest powders: one for enchant +1 to +6, one for +7 to +9 and one for +10 to +12. Obviously the cost of powders will be increased at each tier. Our goal here was to keep the cost for getting these items similar but remove the frustrations that random numbers can cause and let you keep what you have already earned.

What actually is the point you are trying to make here?

All I read is

"we have removed the >5% chance (likely far lower in reality ie 2%) of a downgrade".

That would save a little time but hardly the dramatic example you gave.
