You are insane. NO risk involved = ridiculously enchanted weapons. Make people work for it Weapon completely destroyed on fail like back in Lineage 2 ( or at least back to damaged). Isn't this lineage 3? fix this care bear BS.

Better idea: make +9 through 12 only obtainable with powders dropped from the hardest bosses in the game.

Then no casual idiot can throw $200 in chronoscrolls at the game and have the best of everything!

From my under standing that's pretty much the only way your going to +12 the end game instances however that also means you still can fail getting to +10 or even +11...Why o why do people wanna make it to where you lose enchants is beyond me when it already cost a ton to fail right now..

What they broke is the risk-reward balance. for example "hey i just got the best gold weapon in the game now do I risk losing it from enchant or keep it as is"

You will soon see that the market will be FLOODED with the "best weapons in game" as there is no way to lose them. Best part of the other risk to reward system was this uneasyness of enchanting. If someone had a +12 they had more balls than be because I was afraid to go past +4 ( old breaking level from L2). The currency in this game is a joke. "losing money" means nothing as I will never have to buy another max weapon or max armor. Just try to over enchant it again and again and again until you are successful.

When I read this OP, I hear 'I have forever to play, so you shouldn't be able to enchant your gear' being yelled in my ear with a megaphone.

Poor OP, sorry buddy this isn't your game. You have to go elsewhere if you want to lose hours of work to what amounts to a "Roll of the dice"(aka its out of the players hands).

Sucks this easy enchant , you don't have to do all that players says , the original enchant mechanist is good.

I'm just going to put this out there, again:

NOT EVERYONE HAS FOREVER TO PLAY. SOME OF US DO SOMETHING CALL WORK.

That being said, having hard as hell things to enchant doesn't mean you're good in a game like this where reactionary reflexes count a lot. Having a very high enchanted item, with the system that OP is proposing, will only mean (as stated before) that you have:

A: A lot of time on your hands and don't actually see the sun (or moon).
B: Are extremely lucky (which... doesn't mean you're good, in case anyone is wondering).

I don't know what OP's talking about. Getting my gear from +1 to +2 took 10 tries for me. I felt like the success rate went from 100% to 12% in one go. Not saying it should be easier, but maybe put a success rate nearby so I know the "risk" involved? Or is there a list of success rates somewhere?

Wrong, OP works full time and is in Graduate school. Probably more than you have ever done in your life. OP knows what it is like to work for something you want and is tired of the casual BS the United States population is used to.

You kids must be to young to understand what competition is. You must be one of the kids who came in last place in soccer and still got a trophy. Well if you enjoy not being the best by all means play casually and live mediocre.

It is fine, I have come to the understanding that because of all the Modern Warfare kids who want instant re spawn golden games like Counter-Strike will never be as successful any more because the risk to reward was too HIGH. Kids no longer have the "time" to wait 1:45 seconds for their re spawn because they were too dull to understand running through double doors on dust_2 was a bad idea.

If you do not understand my comparison you are too weak of a human to understand competition and what becoming the best entails. Please do not respond.
