So me and a friend of mine have been watching this game for a while now and right off the bat I said Slayer i wana be a slayer while he was unsure, him being a the type of person who will sit and over think things far too long finaly came back to me and said He wants to be a Slayer.
So i thought ok ill be a good friend and ill switch to Beserker and let him do what he wants.
This isnt the first time ive done this for him either im currently playing Star wars the old republic and switched classes for him to play what he wants to but im kinda fed up with it and wana play what I wanted todo you think i should just say F it and be a nice friend or tell him that im gona play what i want?
Thanks for the Advice /bow.
Well if you want to play a slayer, then having two slayers won't that big of an issue will it?
Although I suppose you will probably be competing for gear, it's better than playing a class you dislike.
In my opinion of course.
If you two are planning to play together most of the time, 2x Slayers is bad idea. Because of the current version of Tera caps number of pt member to 6, pt has to be grouped in different roles(classes). In KR version of Tera, ppl tend to throw single slayer into the party.
Item contribution is also a thing, since both of you guys use leather armor types as well as same type of wpn, a dice will be automatically roll regardless of who would pick what first.
If you are to be nice and let ur bud be a slayer, I really dont think being a zerker is such a bad idea. Zerker solos most of elites with high crit settings and also has higher chance to survive with wpn block. Not going to recommend healer or tanker types since it seems like you are more DDlike person.
But yea, do zerker so you and ur friend dont run into any type of loot problem. I do not know how drop rates going to be in NA version, but KR drop rate was horrible you will be surprised if you could even see anything good dropped in your lvl of instances.
caps number of pt member to 5*
sorry lol
KRFUBU has a good point, but so does everyone else. I say play what you want. It's your game, your entertainment, your fun. Don't let anyone else define that. If you do choose to accommodate your friend, you can always have a slayer alt.
Just play dual slayers. The only negative side to it is that you'll both be fighting over gear. Other than that minor issue, nothing will change.
I see where you’re coming from. My girlfriend and I play together and we always try to pick classes that complement each other. Since my preference is healer and hers being melee (DPS or Tank) it’s worked out well.
I am sure though if I decided that I really wanted to play the same class she wanted that we would then have secondary toon (possibly pvp) to accommodate me. So I guess my answer is to find a compromise.
