Need a Devs opinion on the Lvl difference in pvp

Has any dev talked about this issue and what they think about it?

I see the devs post stuff once in awhile on these forums but I have not seen them give us an answer if 1-2 shotting players 2-3 levels under you is working as intended or that they are looking into and will fix it. If they have, i'm sorry and can you be nice to link what they have said.

If not and If a dev see's this, please, throw us a bone on the matter. everyone hate's getting killed without effort by players 2-3 levels above them.

No dev ever posts, they are CM's WAY different then Devs

I may be simplifying things a bit, but it's my understanding that all developers are over in Korea. Our CM team at EME that we interact with are just deciding on what tasks to assign to the development team, but do no actual development themselves here in the states.

As such, I assume we won't ever see a developer post on these forums and to get an in-depth answer on whether or not this was the intent of the code originally would take us asking our CMs, them asking their devs, and then coming back to us with the answers.

As for whether or not our CMs intend for this mechanic to be in the game, they can certainly answer if they like the current set up or if it is something they have plans to assign a task to their devs to change it.

I don't believe it's level but stats, and even so, the stats are WAY out of whack..

i fight people same level as me all the time, same level and same class, and i slaughter them, not based on anything cept skill, and gear.

knowing when you avoid, block, and attack, missed with an over powered weapon is very useful.

Indeed, this has been brought up many times in different forms, at first we thought it was a hidden multiplier but it's just the way the game mechanics work. It would be great to know that the CMs have acknowledged this as a major issue and the Devs are at the least aware of our concerns.

Damage dealt is determined by a combination of the attacker's Attack and the target's Endurance. Players who did the attacking were confident in their gear. That's why they attacked. Players who didn't know any better ended up the victims.

You can see how this works by using Kaia's Binding on a story quest BAM. It reduces their Endurance by 90%. You do huge damage numbers against them. All it takes is the change in stats.

I agree, it's quite frustrating that only a few levels' difference means a large dis/advantage. It makes leveling in a zone more annoying when someone a few levels higher can gank you quite easily.

Even apply to PvE too. For example, solo'ing Basilik level 20.

19 = pretty hard (can get 1-shotted)
20 = hard (can get 1-shotted)
21 = easier (took like 2,000 damage with jumping move)
22 = easy (1,400ish damage with jumping move)
23 = super easy (900-1,000 damage)

And I was wearing the exact same gear for the Slayer. It seems like the level up stats >> gear until like end game where all level equalize then it be skill+gear pluses.


Lvl 24 vs 27 Berserker. Took 2k damage from his skill. I still beat him due to ranging and dodging. If he was more accurate, he can end me in 2-3hit while it will take me about 5-6 overhand slash with other moves. Deal only about 500 damage.

Lvl 24 vs 29 Warrior. Can end me in 1 move + attack. I deal only about 150-200ish damage. Skill attack is about 400-600 dependent on which one.


Seems like there is a multiplier effect on the damage for level or something from my fight with the basilisk.
-1 = 50%
0 = 100% (same level)
+1 = 200%
+2 = 300%
+3 = 400%

They should make it like at least a 8 level difference before you notice a major disadvantage and based on stats/gear too. I leveled up and become super strong yet still wearing same gear.
