Excuse the wall of text first off, but you should enjoy the idea ahead.
Seems there are a lot of disgruntled people out there about our current Infamy ordeal. I love to gank… so as stated in a previous thread, as I type this, I’m eating my own words.
These are two systems which can reward for PvP and control gankers and griefers such as myself, at the same time giving a fun challenge.

First the Outlaw Infamy points:
Tier 1 0-500: Can be attacked in safe zones.
- Now you can’t run.. you must be a constant target everywhere.
- With not being able to see peoples levels, some lowbie ganks might/can happen so this shouldnt be to tough on someone.
Tier 2 501-1000: Hostile NPC's IE Camps and Towns (Cities not included)
- At this point your obviously looking for trouble, grats you got it.
Tier 3 1001-2000: NPC merchants will not deal with you. (Major Cities Included)
- Now you get to suck it up as an Outlaw from all parties.
Tier 4 2000+: No more anywhere for joo! (Cant not enter Cities, Towns, or Camps and NPC remain hostile, no Merchant love)
- You are truly and outlaw and outcasted from any civilized place. Your super cool!

Second the PvP Reward points:
How about the good ole ranks? Just as titles and nothing more for bragging rights.
Good PvP Kills-
Kill a player equal level or +1 = 10 PvP points
Kill a player 2 levels higher = 20 PvP points
Kill a player 3 levels higher = 30 PvP points
Kill a player 4+ levels higher = 40 PvP points
Ranks- (whatever names you want)
0-100 Private
101-200 Private First Class
201-400 Lance Corporal
Etc etc…
PvP Punishment points:
Same as awarding, just the points would be negative. Also, you would be awarded your Infamy points. You can and will lose rank in the process or be "demoted" in title if you will.
The catch to keep people from abusing the system; Well would be hard but here’s some ideas.
- Must be an Outlaw
- Can not be a guildy
- Can not be on friends list
- Can not be in group
- Player can not have died in the past 5 minutes.
- Diminishing returns on people attacked 1+ times every 5 minutes to equal 0 on 3rd attempt (player worth nothing for 24hrs)
This is just a idea thrown together for the community to ponder on. I know there’s been a billion of these threads, but I have yet to see one address and issue that’s fair across the board for the gankers and the innocent.
I think this brings new levels of challenges and rewards to a system that could be put in place.
Regardless, I love the game and will play anyway.
