I'm really glad they did this, but I wonder if it will "solve" the complaint people have about not being challenged early enough. I can't imagine the new BAMs will be "difficult" for anyone comfortable with the combat. I expect they'll be slow-moving baby BAMs. Which is great for complete newbies, and maybe that's what they're going for. But I don't think it will give those people who didn't get to 20 get enough of a feel for the real challenge later BAMs pose. But we shall see! I'm really happy they're even trying.


Maybe it'll be like one of those sequences in other games where you're temporarily in semi-god mode due to some story element. That way they can throw full scale BAMs at players which, IMO, would be a good way for players to learn the flow of combat without being too harsh while keeping things exciting at the same time.

Just a thought, really. Trying to kill time until OBT!

More than anything I like that they are actually introducing you to the story and important lore characters right off the bat rather than sending you to lush green fields to kill trees. I don't mind doing that later, but getting a sense of perspective first means a lot.

Until the High Elf showed up, then it was more of a, "Saving Ryan's Privates" kind of vibe.

Perhaps it is geared to introduce new players, ie. those who haven't played any of the betas, FGT, etc. Though I do hope there is an option to skip it. I already have three alts planned and really only interested in experiencing a prologue/tutorial once or twice.
