New Prelude is FRUSTRATING!

Let me say I do appreciate new content. But the new Prelude is FRUSTRATING!!!

Not being able to move my keys around got me annoyed very quickly- I have a set way to attack and defend and having to muddle through combat with backwards keys is not enjoyable.

Plus, here I was given 4 skills (presumably to try them out?) that I am totally unfamiliar with and thrown straight into combat?! You call that a learning curve??? MUCH better to give us one at a time and let us get familiar with it!!! I REALLY pity the people that pick this up for the first time and then you throw them into that straight off? NOT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION!

And I am glad I knew that hey, there's a ladder to climb, oh wait, let me wander around and oh hey, there is another ladder to climb... Not clear at all (probably would have helped if I read the quest but that just isn't going to happen 90% of the time.)

Then I kill some boss, wonder around, can't find the path, and then kill the boss again and whoa, boulders move and I can finally continue? For the new player that has never done any of the CBTs or Open, that is going to be bafflingly confusing.

The open that was in the CBTs was perfect. Nice slow progression that made sense, dipped us into combat without overwhelming us... allowing us to get used to the key layout and adjust it as needed, allowing us to get a feel for the game. Throwing us into some midgame prelude with extra skills as a first impression is bad, especially if the player has no idea how the skills they are given are supposed to be used.

I thought the new prelude was pretty stupid. The whole time i doing it all i was thinking was "When does this [filtered] end so I can start making "real progress" on my toon.

I guess the devs/bluehole whoever's idea was to give new players a sense of what the real game was like. I found it more of a annoyance then anything else...

If you can't figure out how to play with instructions, arrows, basically 1 linear path, a cross hair, 4 skills... then you are not cut out to play any video game.

Not to mention it takes like 10 minutes (maybe) to get out of the prelude... let's make a giant out of a matchstick.

The prologue adds some depth to the lore of the game. If that's not really your thing, at least it explains what the heck is going on at this point in Tera. Also it takes less than 10 minutes to get through, is it really that painful to just do your keybinds after you finish it?

You can bypass the starter zone by Logging out and then log in with your character and choose Island of Dawn. I didn't complete that silly start zone.

I loved the new Prologue. The only thing that I was wondering was how my character going from level 20 back down to level 1 fits in with the lore. Did I get severely wounded? Did I get some kind of selective amnesia that caused me to forget my other skills? I'd love for that to be explained (lore-wise). Other than that, I really enjoyed it. :O)

It was quick & harmless to fly by. I just didnt get why the Hero of Velikas couldnt Kill karikas or w.e but we, a recruit at level 10 demolished his butt.

I liked the new prologue, the only thing I would change is them showing you get struck in the head and some priest/mystic summoning your to your starting spot on the real isle of dawn. Head trauma, can no remember your 20 skills. Check how did i end up here? Check.

The character you played wasn't your actual character. It was a member of the first expedition, who, at the end, dies.
