Political system and the Nexus will be activated by the end of the month. Both of these require a critical mass of players to function properly. We should have a more official date on these soon.

The political system is in, so where's the announcement for Nexus? Apparently both required a "critical mass" of high level players, but only one is in game. I can go into pretty much any area at the moment and run into several level 60's. Going to a hub area like Bastion and you will find there are dozens of us sitting around.

I'm requesting an update on when we can expect something on this feature. I imagine many people would be fine if someone just came out and said, "There are issues and we're working on it, we'll give you an announcement in a week." Anyway, please keep this thread civil.

Frogster unlocked the Nexus events for Tera EU and it apparently destroyed the servers.

If there are game breaking bugs involved with the Nexus then EME should keep us informed.

People are not going to bite the subscription bullet if end game stays waiting for a FoK or BT group for an hour or more.

Well, NA had a stress test in BETA basically testing the Nexus and we had no crashes, EMEs servers seem more capable than frogsters, especially considering a lot of people in EU complain about horrible lag, we don't have such complaints.

I assume the nexus is more prepared here than in EU.

Assuming that there are issues with the Nexus and servers, I'd guess that's a load issue. That's not something they can test in-house, so they may as well release them and see how they fare. EME seems to have made a lot of decisions regarding their game based on the level-capped beta tests (removal of eggs, boxes, crafting quests) and so far all have been viewed as negatives at the end game. I'm hoping they're not withholding Nexus based on level 38's being unable to clear the zone in beta.

Either way, I feel like they should at least address it. There doesn't seem to be much information coming out of EME, especially with how active they were during the betas.

Would that be the stress test that brought my one-week-old brand new overclocked i5-2500k to a screeching halt and framerates that could be measured in minutes, as it did for anyone with a computer that didn't cost ~$4000?

A -few people- managed to scrape by either by being in not-so-packed areas or on different servers or whatnot, but on Arachnea that test could only be called a complete failure...other than that the server itself didn't crash. It was so widely felt though that there were people not rendering on the far opposite side of Velika.

Yeah thats the one. I figured it was some kind of stress test. Since the servers didn't take a complete [filtered] and the game didn't crash I figured it was some kind of success, but my frame rate was between 1 - 3 when I was the brunt of the even. Invisible characters and enemies everywhere.

the beta stress test of the nexus had like 300-400 people show up, a nexus is a 20man type event, so they had to spawn like 10 nexuses on top of each other, it was a stress test...

with only 1 nexus spawning, there wont be lag

but thats just me using logic -.-

That's a blatant lie or a completely misinformed statement.

The lag when they were stress testing for rifts was beyond insane.

again, it was 10+ nexuses spawned on top of each other, to push the server to its limit, it wasnt really about the nexus, they can test that kind of thing in house. it was a stress test.
