No Credits for the little guy...

A lot of people deserve credit, community sites, blogs, people who make videos on Youtube promoting the game and trying to sell it to other gamers. With that in mind, there are so many people who may have put just as much effort into TERA if not more than you in other ways, but it would be hard to thank all of them so they probably would just thank the community.

Just like Blizzard tells their beta testers, their reward for testing is being able to play the game before anyone else! :)

I don't feel that if a thanks is added it be to the communty as a whole and not just FGT and CPE players. Lets face it you guys got lucky and got to be picked for tester, doesn't mean your more devoted or provide more support to the game like the rest of us. You just got lucky to have a more hands on experience with the game while we didn't. Granted i get your point but thats is the real world and if you love the game just the game's success is enough.

I've been on the forums since the first FGT and never got into any. Why should you who got randomly chosen count more then others?

And yes they owe you nothing.

While hanging out on the server screen I wanted to see the updated list of people responsible for making Tera what it is today. Unfortunately I've noticed that FGT and CPE players are not in the "Special Thanks To" list.

I feel this isn't too much to ask as we were called "Grass-roots" of the community. With enough attention to this, I'd like us all to be honored and respected. To be able to go to our family members and friends to say "I'm a part of Tera". To know that we have done right in being there for the community and for En Masse.

With that said, let's history by being seen as a difference maker while En Masse and BH will be recognized even more for it's gratitude towards everyone.

I just want to be clear about this

So what you're saying is that being invited to play before game release wasn't a big enough "thank you" for your interest in the game?

You feel you need credit for giving your opinion on decisions that are not yours to make?

And you are willing to accept the full brunt of the responsibility for all the remaining flaws and tweaking required that you are now saying are directly related to the "work" you have put into the game?

Answer these questions and be honest to yourself first. Now tell me do you deserve to have your name listed on the same page as the game designers/producers? Do you really deserve to have your name listed at all?

My 4yr old likes the pretty horses in the game think I could get her name on the thank you list for giving her feedback?

I don't understand why you feel you need credit. Tell you what here's a compromise. We now know here that you have contributed to the game in some fashion, so I'll do for you what I do for my kids.

/claps happily "Yay! Way to go. You did it, yay!"

annnd there ya go. Gratifying acknowledgement fitting for the level of the deed you have completed.

Those who were in the FGT groups were chosen to actually test the game not play it for fun. Those in the CPE were chosen to just play and "see what we've changed" deal. This beta is a way to increase money quickly while showing off the game.

So regardless of what anyone here says. Those who were in the fgt were chosen, hand picked to actually test the game. Not to enjoy a free ride. So there for, they have provided more than a random lurker. Just playing the game provided data for En Masse to work with. Those who provided additional feedback did alot more clearly.

But ya, get over the fact you didn't get picked. Stop trying to bring everyone else down because you dont feel special please.

FGT testers probably did help, but I would rather see them give a thanks to the entire community.

Ok, to my earlier point. Let's put it this way: I'm am 100% sure that some of the people who participated in the CPE or FGT are no longer following/playing the game. There has to be at least 1, right? Up until launch, you will have non-CPE/FGT testers that bust their butts to provide bug details and feedback to EME. Realistically, those non-CPE/FGT players have actually done more for EME than the CPE/FGT people who were there before and have been long gone. Why should that CPE/FGT get credit by name for his short time in the game (where he might have done nothing in it) while the tester who busted his butt gets nothing?

I say again - You can't realistically pick and choose who gets "more" credit. The only fair thing to do, is to thank everyone who contributed universally.

Has there ever been a game that had beta testers in their credits?

Idk, this seems to be nit picking for the sake of it.
