Those who were in the FGT groups were chosen to actually test the game not play it for fun. Those in the CPE were chosen to just play and "see what we've changed" deal. This beta is a way to increase money quickly while showing off the game.

So regardless of what anyone here says. Those who were in the fgt were chosen, hand picked to actually test the game. Not to enjoy a free ride. So there for, they have provided more than a random lurker. Just playing the game provided data for En Masse to work with. Those who provided additional feedback did alot more clearly.

But ya, get over the fact you didn't get picked. Stop trying to bring everyone else down because you dont feel special please.

Ok, to my earlier point. Let's put it this way: I'm am 100% sure that some of the people who participated in the CPE or FGT are no longer following/playing the game. There has to be at least 1, right? Up until launch, you will have non-CPE/FGT testers that bust their butts to provide bug details and feedback to EME. Realistically, those non-CPE/FGT players have actually done more for EME than the CPE/FGT people who were there before and have been long gone. Why should that CPE/FGT get credit by name for his short time in the game (where he might have done nothing in it) while the tester who busted his butt gets nothing?

I say again - You can't realistically pick and choose who gets "more" credit. The only fair thing to do, is to thank everyone who contributed universally.

I never said anything about who should be in the credits. I just said the FGT group were hand chosen. So they are logically more special than not.

As someone who is in the credits of a game its an ego boost to be in them. But with a game this large they should give a special thanks to our Focus Group Test players and the rest of the community. Its the fair, and most correct way.

Has there ever been a game that had beta testers in their credits?

Idk, this seems to be nit picking for the sake of it.

Ya, tons of games. Should actually read the credits of them. Most are considered external QA. But with mmos not really no because betas are just public showings.

But as I just pointed out, they aren't "logically" more special overall. Yes, they were hand-picked because of their contributions awhile back on the forums. But that doesn't actually mean they've done "more" than anyone since then (or overall).

I'm not opposed to EME having "Special thanks to CPE/FGT!" in their credits somewhere (although I would be opposed to thanking by name). Sure, it would be super nice for you all. But frankly, your contribution was already given appreciation by the fact that you were chosen for those events and were able to participate in them.

I have been in focus groups for several large companies and there is always an incentive to doing so, which is generally money in my case, but the incentives always differ.

You want a good game right? Your incentive is getting to see the game world and helping to fine tune it so that it's a game you want to play. I just don't see why you think you need credit for giving feedback for which you have already received everything you deserve.

It's like this: A new store at the local mall is opening soon. You go and tell them that they still have a few pins in their new carpeting from all the clothing they have brought it after they allowed you to see inside the store on a special tour. Now a few days from opening you go back and tell all your friends that you should have your name on the windows there so that everybody knows you were the one that pointed out they had a couple pins on the carpet.

Seems reasonable to you I'm sure.

My bad, I should have specified MMORPG. :D

Anyways, I don't see the big deal. I was not in the FGT/CPE as I didnt follow TERA until after that but if I was I could care less if they put it in the credits. I'm just glad to have a good MMORPG to play finally.

Please point where I said, we need to have credits. All I said was those in the FGT are more special than those who weren't picked.

Credits or no credits thats fine. But if they did, the only real way to put several thousand people in it would be to related to the group, FGT and than the rest of the community.
