I can completely understand why they are keeping GvG on PvP servers, as someone mentioned above - GvG can easily force PvP on someone who is completely unwilling, which defeats the purpose of a PvE server.

If you want to do guild vs guild, then roll on a PvP server then. Nothing is stopping you, nor is anyone saying you have to play on a PvE server.

If you are worried about being ganked, then you might as well just stick to battlegrounds anyway.

Also, if you are in a guild, planning to GvG, then leveling up on a PvP server shouldn't be an issue since you can just level with your guild, or have them come help you if there is a problem.

Stop QQing IMO and roll on a PvP server.

So carebears don't complain when one guild decides to real a pvp server and initiate war on every guild on the server.

What I meant to say was "So PvE carebears don't complain when one guild decides to role a PvE server and initiate war on every guild on the server."

P.S My apologies for double post.

I think it also serves an incentive to roll on PvP servers if you really want to PvP. It helps to keep the population healthy on PvP servers which is a good thing IMO. Most people that are interested in GvG it seems would be interested in World PvP in general, but what would be the point of having PvP servers if you could have big open world PvP battles on any server?

They could just do a mutual GvG. Both guilds have to accept. Why not give us it? Make it like a large scale duel?

One- you can "forfeit" the guild war (no cross game reference intended-lol) and no war can be declared for 24 hours

Two- They have said REPEATEDLY they are working on and TESTING the PvP system before launch

Instead of of everyone over-reacting, we can simply start a thread/poll/petition to have them reconsider this for PvE servers

I am playing a PvP server but I fully understand PvE people wanting to be able to have Guild battles.

Maybe on PvE it has to be a "mutual" declaration as a difference if they are worried about PvE greif?

I don't know, but let's use the forum and threads to be constructive. So far the devs have been VERY responsive/helpful etc.

When the server crashed at beta launch and didn't come back- they posted IMMEDIATELY they were working on fix and communicated with the community and got a replacement up in no time. Let's all remember this isn't NCSoft with the "F.U., if you you don't like it, quit" attitude

Unless they make it so every single person in the guild has to accept the GvG, it could unwillingly force PvP on someone who has no interest in it, defeating the purpose of the server.

This. There's really no reason to strictly limit it to PVP servers when options are available.

if its forced and you dont have a choice then alright. that makes sense i suppose.

i dont see why having a non-forced option in pve servers would hurt anything but meh, its all good. ill be rolling pvp and pve anyways.

That's up to the Guildmaster to make the decision. They are in charge of their guild so they should also know if their members are down for it. No one is forcing the others to step in the fray.
