No GvG on PvE servers?!

There should be consensual pvp on PVE servers.

This is not a new concept. Don't f*ck this up, EME...this is incredibly important. Guild declarations of war have little to no place in a PVP server, and serve a major purpose on a PVE server.

Seriously...this is not a hard concept.

------------

And for all you who are scared by the thought and want nothing to do with any kind of conflict (I'm not going to call you the C-word, but you know what you are)...I hate to break it to you, but if you noticed in CBT1, our characters are all sitting at "Infamy lvl 0". Guess what that means? Mhmm. Get ready for outlaws.

It's going to happen whether you like it or not, so why would you have something against two guilds you're not even affiliated with declaring war?

Do you people even understand the ramifications? When the political system is released, the ability to declare war on a Vanarch you feel got into power illegitimately would be priceless.

Stop planting your heels into the floor and resisting this as if it would force you to PVP.

Having Guild vs Guild declarations of war in a PVP server, and not on a PVE server makes about as much sense as having a forum that doesn't allow you to edit, and logs you out while you're writing a long post.

F*ck. =/

I agree wholeheartedly with you ValkyrieLaw. Other both the GvG and the stupid forums :(

I hit the reply button after typing up my message and it logs me out. "Screw it! I'm writing a smaller message!"

And this is a problem because?

You still get battlegrounds, right? If you don't want open encounters why would you want guild wars?

Just play on a PvP server if you want guild wars. I mean...you want GUILD wars right? If that's the issue why on earth would you have a problem with a PK system? Try teaming up with your guild for protection, duh. Play in groups. Don't be so selfish and antisocial that you're always the victim. If you can't even work together on that level to begin with you're going to be up [filtered]'s creek when it comes to doing well in an actual guild war anyways, so you may as well pass.

Give a PvP server a chance or don't complain that you don't get all the features.

That's a huge assumption to make, actually. That could just be leftover fluff from PvP or transferring the game from Korea, because this is, actually, still the beta.

I'd like the point out that if you actually read my posts, you'll see that I agree that consensual GvG should be allowed, but only if the power to join still lies in the individual players, which would mean that both guilds would have to agree to it AND the individual players in both guilds should be given an option as to whether or not they personally want to participate in it - something akin to a flagging system.

I would agree to that system Myxx. When the guild leaders agree, to war A dialog box pops up giving you the option to confirm. If you don't, then the guild leaves you and TO WAR THEY MARCH!!

If that's the case then I breezed too quickly.

Wouldn't bother me if some people in a guild opted out of the fighting. As long as they had to make the choice at the start, and couldn't change their mind halfway through the "war".

This I agree with. It should be an option that pops up once the battle starts/once you log into an ongoing battle - it automatically has you set to a non-pvp flagged state (whatever this is - flag on or off) and it tells you who you're engaged in a GvG with, how long is left, and asks you whether or not you want to participate, with the decision being final for that GvG round.

We really need some kind of feedback from a blue on this. This is a big deal for making the world, the people in it, the Vanarch system, etc. all connect immersively.

A guild should be able to declare war on another guild who they feel is doing something underhanded, or declare war on a Vanarch's guild whom they feel aren't upholding their responsibilities.

This is very important to a LOT of people.

I'm all for the GvG being consensual on PvE servers. Give those players what they want and give us pvpers what we want(pvp with more depth and accountability). There is no reason that these systems can't be tweaked to provide a more enjoyable experience for all players. Hold the devs to a high standard and make this the game that everyone wants to play for a long time.
