After reading post after post about douchebag Lancers kicking Zerkers from a dungeon group, so they don't have to share gear, it almost makes want to quit playing a Lancer. Unfortunately it's my favorite class to play though.

I never even thought about kicking a Zerker before I read about it on the forums. The closest I thought along those lines was: "Oh great, a Zerker. Now I might not win this or that, and I'll have to run this dungeon again.

But seriously you guys (the selfish lancers), the longest I've waited was 5 seconds...and that was probably just lag. Big deal if a zerker is in your group.

One: The gear you want might not even drop.
Two: You might win the gear you want.
Three: If you don't win it, run it again.

We have a perk that no other class has (most of the time).....No Waiting. If you don't get your drop, you wait for the next dungeon for however long it takes you to click the LFG button. Other classes wait 30 minutes, an hour, or longer. How many times has a priest or mystic kicked a sorceror so they didn't have to share drop? Or an Archer threaten not to DPS until the Warrior and Slayer are replaced with a Zerker and Sorceror so they didn't have to share loot.

I just wanted to let people know there are good/unselfish lancers out there. Unfortunately they seem to be few and far between. Well I'm just tired and venting. This post won't accomplish anything. The B.itches will be B.itches....but please....don't lump me in with the rest of these Lancers.

To be honest, I'd do the same if I was tanking, for weapons.

Armor?

A lancer's whole defense is on their shield, what does their armor do compared to holding down the RMB?

They have this entitled attitude, where its like what I say goes or ill disband or ill replace you.

Its [filtered] annoying.

I've tanked before, I usually was always hoping I'd wipe the party everytime I pulled big. I usually never told anyone how to play.

No matter how good you are, you can't block everything. Trash mobs are almost impossible to block if you're tanking many of them at once. And some bosses have attacks that come out fast with barely any warning and between the input lag in instances and the explosions and special effects of your team mates obstructing your view, they can be pretty hard to block. I'd say armor is at least as important as the weapon. Not saying kicking a party member for it is acceptable, though.

Edit: Forgot to say this, but also, the amount of MP drained when you block an attack depends on your defense. So better armor means you spend less MP, which is important.

Hey I am a Lancer on Jagged Coast, if you are looking for non-selfish dicked headed Lancer add me to you your friends list. Level 49 currently doing and learning the routine of some instances, but I don't kick anyone. Unless, they have childish/nasty attitude.
