its peoples fault that people are douchebags. But having a game where you dont have to make relationships and connect with people, since you will most likely never see or group with them again, doesnt help. And im in no way bashing Tera for that. It's all MMOs these days.

It's a developers problem that they keep making games that in no way promote group play. This is a MMO, meaning by definition that you log in, find people and adventure. Further meaning that group play should be mandatory not something you do on the side. Why is it that people sign up for MMO's to play solo? FFXI made it so you HAD to group no 2 ways around it. This way people made friends in game, some in rl, and i know a couple who got married.

People keep saying "well i don't want to group all the time"... well then play a single player RPG and don't. I am tired of signing up for the MMO experience in a game and getting a single player online game with a subscription. Game dev's wonder why games fail after 3 months, well here's the answer. Unless you tie the logs of the raft together, they will drift apart sooner or latter.

Am bashing no one, just saying.

I have to agree on this TOPIC.

TERA its not building a good in game community,I did party with some new players, but ones done with the quest or BAM everyone just left. Also this forum and the lack of info on the website.

Not sure if I am just picking on the little things...

my guess would be most people who have lost intreat though the CBT is the fact that nomatter how great of gear, work or anything you put into your character your not going to keep it. +9 a gold weapon Awsome but sorry its gone in 2 weeks from now. That is probably the fact lingering in most peoples minds, but remember it will only happen once and also. This is the time to find glitchs, Report bugs, Find things that don't appeal well to the public and send in a Report to them. Enjoyment is good but it isn't the amin objective atm. So hold out till the OBT comes along when you can finally max out probably :) there will be much more to do and you won't have to restart charaters over and over again... Unless your wanting to :P

And as for the community give it time :) New game, you got to give it that to let the community grow and expent and unite, alot will be guild powered but i found plenty of people to randomly group with and had a great time chatting and having fun :) so there is good people out there don't worry.

ALSO to the fact of MMO being multi player, its everyone choice how to do things. There is always people wanting to test there limits and solo things jsut to show "Hell yea i just soloed this"

Definitely another Aion, but it doesn't mean you have to skip having some fun for a short while.


Aion's biggest problem was that it became a massive grind post 30. Tera doesn't have that problem.

Let me also point something out for people...

Tera is DRAMATICALLY more fun when played with other players, be it just a partner in leveling or an entire guild of people.

Trying to level my mystic solo was about the most boring thing ever. Getting together with 2 guildies made it a blast.

So make some friends and have fun.

Some people just dont get the same thigns out of a game. If you really aren't feeling it try something else. But in all honesty its prolly from being burnt out over MMO's in the first place. MMO's have become horrible and not from the game itself. From the community, and pure trolling that occurs. Interactions with players take on a more chat room experience. Area / global chats are just spammed like crazy.

I remember the days 12 years ago when No one was spamming the world chat because No one in Lineage 1 was high enough level to say anything in world chat. It made encounters with other players Interesting unique and DANGEROUS.

Similar story to Ragnarok Online. You could be minding your own business. You don't really notice anyone around you then suddenly Someone comes running from the corner of the screen practically flailing their arms as an army of monsters chases them and threatens your survival as well.

Interactions in the community are done "face to face" Things like party finding and selling gear should be done through the GUI and ingame system.

I agree with Destian, The game does show that with a larger group of people = A lot more fun to do things with, Gives you a chance to be social, get to know people, and all around you have a better mind set on the game and can do more stuff. Soloing BAM.. yes possible but Dear lord the time wasted if you just grouped up and cut the time to a fraction and with more fun. Though i will admit it is fun to soloing them maybe once or so first or even world bosses just say say, Hey i soloed that thing
