EME Listen to this guy. I think many of us feel the same way, one way or another.
RNG is terrble, and if we wanted that we would have stuck with Aion.

I can assure you the scores of players 'not' lining up to play the beta are doing so for an entirely different reason.
The game is RNG personified. Everyone hated Aion. Everyone will hate this for exactly the same reasons. EME is just another publisher trying to skim off the top. Frogster is no better. The combat is fun but not spectacular. There is very limited reason to associate with players outside a regular group or guild making the game far less massive than the genre implies it should be.
Unnecessary censorship, a willingness to completely amputate systems rather than develop them, and the ever looming shadow of RNG will ensure the quick and muffled whimper will go largely unnoticed as Tera is unleashed upon the Western gaming market.
I am sure a good chunk of people will pick up Tera. Probably fewer than Aion but it will likely be a respectable number. At first. Then once people reach max level in a weeks or two they will get the first look at the epic nothing that awaits their continued play experience. They will see no notable progression targets in PvE content and they will see a constant need to farm coin and items in order to attempt to beat RNG and fully upgrade their weapon.
Once they get their first weapon it will dawn on them that all the have to look forward to is another massive grind to getting that chest piece enchanted... and so on. PvP will be dominated by those that hit max first and get lucky enough to fully enchant their gear. People will realize that the whole 'Tera is uber skill based' thing is a sham and the epic grind in a sea of RNG is all that Tera can ever be.
During that time massive waves of complaints and poor feedback will be largely ignored as the update and patch process is not only dependent on a 3rd party (since EME is a publisher not the studio), but the schedule of the developer is also dependent on the development requests of 3 other markets... Basically it will become clear the people collecting the information can't do anything with it and any proposed change would take 6 months or more to implement.
Tera has absolutely nothing going for it. And EME was the wrong choice for NA distribution. Frogster might pull off a few stable servers but EME will drop the ball in the first 6 months and pass the buck to a F2p service.
I want to say EME Tera will go the way of Aion. It feels very much like Aion 2.0 But now I honestly believe that Tera will not go the way of Aion. I think its gonna go the way of Final Fantasy 14, or maybe even Tabula Rasa.
