I am a PvE player, but I sympathize especially with the PvPers who feel they are falling behind.

To me, it is not a race to see who gets to the OB cap. I'd much rather enjoy my time, enjoy the scenery, and whatever else.

I personally don't see a need for this, but I can understand why some people may feel as you do.

EDIT: I do feel sorry for East coasters who are going to be on the PvP servers. All the people leveling now may be laying in wait, ready to smack down all the late-comers, since they got a head-start.
