This is kinda of a stupid question, but I'm curious.

I have an active account that I received from beta, although I never played the beta due to work.

I logged into my account to see if there was some trial available (i figured there wouldn't be but wanted try it anyway.) Now it says my account is active, Type: Trial. But i can't access the game because I have no sub.

Now I wouldn't mind adding a sub, but I've never bought the game, and when I go through the process of adding a sub my total comes down to $0.00 (you don't get charged til the 30 days of free game time is up.)

Am I to assume that I can sub without actually paying the $50 bucks for the game?

Ive got the same issue..my box game wont be here till tomorrow, so I was playing on a buddy code until then, and I thought it was good until the 15th of may, but upon trying to log in today I was told I had no sub. So I subbed, and it still shows me as expired...looks like I may have to wait till tomorrow till my physical box shows up.

I've been wondering this too. Seems as if you can just go from beta client to real game just by adding a sub. Would like an answer though.

I also have the same doubt regarding Beta Accounts.
I am assuming that I won't have to pay the $50 for the game since I have already downloaded it.
It would be a shame having to buy the game if I already downloaded it.

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, and now I can confirm that you need to buy a copy of the game to be even to play. Even if you do buy a subscription, the game needs to be bound to your account... Which sucks because my brother and I got a physical copy of the game and were given a code that only one account could use.

Yup. Gotta pay $49.99 ~ $59.99 (CE) to get the sub activated. You cannot just simply buy a sub on a trial account. The account type need to be Standard or CE.
