Campfires should work like feasts. They should take time, but not an impeding amount, and provide benefits for those who do wait, hence my solution.

Stamina.

Down time in game is very short. Stam is a bonus, you'll do fine even with little to no stam. (cant speak for end game contents).

O hey Stamina Potion my name is Cleric of Restoration, I hear that i can instantly restore stamina for 27s which drops off 1 mob.

Redirect your anger about stamina, it's misplaced.

You see, Tera once had all sorts of interesting things to do when you were regenning stamina, but the features have been removed because they though you were too dumb to figure them out. What you really want is those features back.

Things like:

Cracking eggs
Combining eggs into fortune eggs, and cracking them for uncommon crystals
Converting useless uncomon crystals that are in your inventory to useful ones with mischief boxes

Socializing with your guild, friends, and party*

Other things:

Get coffee
Take a leak
Cut your own hair
Clean the drool off your keyboard

*not recommended after the first 30 days, as intelligent people will have moved on unless they reimplement the features stated earlier

And here's our pet turtle Stamina Regen, he moves really slow and doesnt do much, he gets to where he needs to go eventually, but by that time we'll have a new pet. If only he were a little faster we wouldn't mind having a turtle rather than a cat.
