Ok so from what I understand, this title, Tera, was supposed to be a P2P game where people could escape from terrible games such as Aion, correct? While I will agree that Tera is fun and I love my cute little Ellin Archer, I'm a little bit more than irritated with the prices in the cash shop.

For instance... Does it even make a little sense making a "race change" cost more than a months subscription and almost half what the actualy game costs? Aside from that, almost all of the items available in the new "premium store" costs more than anything you would buy in another P2P game such as Aion. I'm lazy so I won't provide screenshots but go ahead and check out na.aiononline.com. Another point to make here is that everyday we're talking about a horrible economy and sure the people who can play Tera have at least an average paycheck but WE HAVE A TERRIBLE ECONOMY. Come on, En Masse, think before you act.

I highly recommend lowering prices and adding a little more to your limited collection of useless "premium novelty" items.

Adding in appearance and cosmetic change is fine. But I'm irritated and frustrated that they add in Weapon Cosmetic change too. What's next? Uber cool looking item that can only be purchased with Cash Shop only? Come on Emas, put your act together!

The whole concept of a premium subscription fee AND a premium store bugs me, it screams "lets take advantage of our customers!"

This business model is old and obsolete. There are plenty of other MMO's out there that has one or the other, A Sub fee or a F2P store model.

Turbine has a fantastic business model that doesn't nickel and dime you. Hell if you sub to a Turbine game they give you store credit each month.

Then don't use it, there is nothing in the goddamn store that will affect how you play. If someone wants to pay a little extra to look different to support the game and give more money to EME so they can come out with updates to make the game better that will AFFECT YOU NON PREMIUM SHOP USERS... Why complain?

It is like the people who want to pay NO TAXES in the US, but at the same time wants the government to take care of everything and pay for everything. Just doesn't work.

it's because they decided to offer certain services at this "premium" store that could be offered in game. The problem people are having is they feel they are being taken advantage of. That their subscription fee should include certain services. For instance there are plenty of MMO's that let you change appearance in game with in game currency, Why should we pay 10 real dollars in TERA to do it?

Funny how a lot of people bash GW2 for having a cash shop while TERA has a subscription + cash shop... you know... like WoW.

I was a little surprised EME opened up a premium store, but not immediately opposed. Until I saw the prices.

Appearance changes should be an in-game barber shop feature, at most. $25 to change your race and everything that goes with it is exorbitantly overpriced. Like someone said - more than the cost of a month's subscription. It takes far less time than the cost for even a partially-dedicated player to level a new character up to Level 60. Everything in there is just too high of a price to me.

It's ironic to me since I was just thinking about wanting to change the race of my Lancer. Now I spent today leveling a new one and it's Lv.25. Another day and I'll be up to the Lancer I'm replacing at Lv.35. (and I look so much better)

I don't think EME considered very long the actual value of these premium services.

The price seems overly high for something that costs nothing to store, package, or ship. It's literally an automated procedure which costs next to nothing to preform. Not only that, but by making things pointless expensive you are forcing me to compete with everything else within that price range. For instance, if I could change my hair for say... a dollar, I'm probably not even going to think about that purchase, and that's ultimately how I think micro-transitions tend to work best; Thoughtless purchases that build up over time.

The current cash shop is bad for business in that it has nothing I want for prices I don't want to pay.

You say then don't use it. Like I said before, I'm fine with appearance stuff but not cosmetic armor and weapon skin change. Does it make you more powerful and more advantage? No. Does it effect your gameplay and how you enjoy the game? Yes! What if it got to the point where uber nice looking armor and weapon skin can only be purchased with Cash Shop only? To look great and enjoy your gameplay you have to pay more to get it. I think this is a really cheap way of getting more money from Customers who already pay you monthly fees. The whole reason I like P2P game because I don't want the other person to look better just because he pay more. We are all on an equal level in P2P.

This is not a Free to play game. Appearance change, that is fine. But take your weapon and armor skin change elsewhere, that is for Free to play game! And funny you said pay extra to support the game! I'm already supporting the game with my $15 a month subscription fees.

Yes perhaps being a P2P game they should be reconsidering their options, the argument others have that it dosnt affect anyones gameplay is quite valid, but others may argue that changes such as these should be made ingame via a shop for ingame gold because they are already paying for these changes made availiable via monthly fee.EME are going to have to think a little more before they implement these changes they are starting to bring into the game.
