PLEASE Put up a TRIAL so people can test the game.

30 hours of playing or till level 20 or whatever. I can't count the number of people who won't PLAY TERA because they don't know what the game is like. They're too scared to blow $50 on a game if they don't know what it's like. You're losing business by not having one, srsly guyz. srsly.

Please? :(

Also speed up newbie zone. No one likes that island. The way you had it in early CBT where you had to do very few quests just to get out of the island was great honestly. I have a friend who told me a number of his friends he was trying to get into the game ended up leaving/wanting to quit playing during newbie zone, because they thought they game was going to be that boring for the rest of Tera.

Yeah so, /beg /plead /cry

hmmm, I actually like the noob island so I think "no one" is a bit drastic. I've spent quite some time there rerolling characters and then deciding i hated the look and going back.

Having said that, what they should do is make the noob island more robust. Maybe add in optional questlines for players who have done it before. Add some open world bams and a pvp area.

Essentially make it a Tera playground where trial players can enjoy themselves and perhaps buy the game and subscribe.

How much faster do you want the Isle of Dawn? It is pretty much a blink of an eye as it is. Also nothing changed on the Isle from closed beta to launch.

If they wanted to quit over Newbie Island I doubt they would've stayed too long anyways. This game is pretty horrible with the quests, and Newbie Island had the best flow of quests I've experienced so far. After you past Lumbertown your quests just scatter shoot you across two or three zones. Not to mention it is boring to go through the quests (this coming from someone who's nearly read every quest - aside from maybe a few).

If you say they need to make noob island more robust, then they really need to make the whole game more robust. They need to focus the quests in each zone to really mean something, and give your hero a place in this world that matters. A goal of some kind for you to look forward and add some motivation to those levels.

I agree they need a trial, but the game just launched. I kinda don't want to show this game in its state to my friends lol. I'd rather them get their stuff together, release more content, then give me a trial key so I can persuade my friends to hand over their time and money.

I can't think of any P2P MMOs that have had trials this early after launch. The game had months of Closed Beta, and Open Beta and a Headstart. It's unfortunate your friends missed those, but EME did give people lots of chances to try the game before it launched. Now that it has launched, your friends will just have to wait for any future trials.

Also, what are you looking to change on the starter island? It's been the exact same since CBT1. The only thing different now, is that there's also a Prologue before it (that can be skipped).

I am going to have to agree on the trial part. In fact it is really quite stupid to blow $50 possibly $60 plus a subscription fee without first seeing if you actually like it...it is easy to tell how it intimidates many.

But as someone else said before, this game was just released, new games hardly release with a trial - give it time. I think I remember someone talking about buddy passes but I haven't seen any of that trending

Buddy passes were limited to one weekend. I can't remember the date, like May 4-5 or something. They're expired now anyways.

Buddy passes were given out during the Head Start and were only valid during that time. None of been given out since,
