Please stop resurrecting these threads. The LFD is going in, its confirmed, full cross server LFD, there is no more discussion about this. If you don't like LFD, don't use it, but there is no more need to talk about it.

Source please? I'm yet to see any OFFICIAL position regarding this.

And BTW... why are you people so longing for an auto-matchmaking system when we DO have a LFG system built in-game? It's just not automatic, and it's PERFECT! we just need to USE IT!!!!!!!!

Because automatic is easier than manual.

Because it helps new players/alts enjoy the instances at lower levels once the general population moves past lower level content.

Because it helps low pop servers in forming a group quickly.

My opinion posted on a fansite forum for Arche Age, but would also apply here. Enjoy.

MMO creators seem to be avoiding U.S. shores nowadays. I can't say that I blame them as they are driven insane with nonstop crying to make everything easier/faster. Nonstop complaining from people who don't know how to enjoy something as it is and think that they have a right to have everything tailor made for them and them alone and to hell with anyone who says no. Not to mention they have to walk on pins and needles to "westernize" their products and god forbid they don't get one thing exactly right.

When this game finally does hit the western shore, if it EVER does, I will be very surprised if it survives the "WoW" crowds demands, we may just end up playing yet another WOW clone with sand box features because of the nonstop b*tching this countries gamers do.

To them I would love to say Shut The F*ck Up. Quit demanding companies ruin their games to fit in your little 2 dimensional box with no imagination. If you can't play a game without demanding it become "more like WoW" then go play WOW and let the rest of us move on FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

So what you're saying is that Korean MMORPG's are avoiding the American market because the American market demands too much from their companies, rather than their Korean counter-parts, who demand nothing.

How is that a bad thing again?

Also the "more like WoW" argument is inaccurate and overused. Please, use something else.

Stop with the WoW Mentality, please. "automatic is easier" just doesn't cut it. You can perfectly post on the LFG that you're looking for ppl to run ain instance, and ppl could very well look at the board when they are looking for a party. There's no harm in this, the playerbase just need to be educated that using that interface is better than to just spam "LFG SB need tank / healz").

Because it helps new players/alts enjoy the instances at lower levels once the general population moves past lower level content.

Again, we have an interface in-game that serves exactly the same purpose, we just need to USE it. But all you WoWers out there are just too lazy to form your own groups and want the game to take care that for you. Next month ppl will be crying for dungeon nerfs to be able to clear content easier. Geez ¬¬

Because it helps low pop servers in forming a group quickly.

Again, you WoWers should stop with this "I want easier, I want quicker". You already have a game where everything is done so you can play the game with the same mentality of my mom playing bejeweled on facebook. It's called World of Warcraft. And guess why we are not playing WoW? yea, cuz we are TIRED of thing being made easier and quicker for us. We DON'T want to play an MMO like a " light-hearted passtime". Got it? thanks.

And as I told before, there is NO official stance on this yet. Stop saying "it will happen". this is NOT decided, and we CAN voice against it and have it not implemented as it is done in WoW / RIFT. OK?

There is no harm is making it automatic either. Why do you think an automatic system is bad?

The rest of your post is nothing but ignoring the fact that once the general population moves on, forming groups at lower level content is much more difficult. Forming groups at all levels is much more difficult on a low pop server as well, let alone nearly impossible for lower level content.

And then the WoW bashing.

Last I checked the "difficulty" was running the instance. I am baffled why you want to make finding a group to run content difficult as well.

"Improved Grouping: En Masse has gone ahead and bumped up experience bonuses for grouping to encourage players to get together and adventure. Additionally, the developer has also added an instance finder functionality to allow players to queue up and get right into instanced PvE content where they will also find new bind-on-pickup gear. En Masse explained that the bind-on-pickup aspect was important as they wanted to be able to reward players with powerful items without breaking the in-game economy."

There was also a twitter post from TERA stating that the system WILL be in game.

You are twisting my words.
No, not because Americans "demand more" is that some people in the western market demand that these companies fit a square peg through a round hole, well, in order to do that you have to end up with a round peg, note here that square and round are not the same, therefore we are left with a game that was not what the original western fans wanted to begin with.

Was that a little more explanatory for you, or would you like me to draw you a picture?

I can do that, here is what I want

Here is what people in America demand Korean companies do to their games

At least someone can find their sources >.>

Also, I am going to laugh at all you little whiners when you can't do your group quests and you can't find anyone because there is no easy button for that. Good Luck!

/me hides in Guild since there is no reason to leave it.

P.S. that source mentions nothing about cross-server.

And does that "some people" make up the large majority of the popluation?

If so I'd say that's market demand.

If not, well, all companies have to deal with loss of customers because their product doesn't fit the needs/wants of everyone. Part of the price of doing business. In which case your only choice is to eat the loss or find a solution that appeases the majority & minority without losing customers in both areas.

The Korean MMORPG market is different than the Western MMORPG market. If you don't want to tailor the game to the West, then that's fine. Just don't be surprised at the end result (See Aion).
