Are you saying that I was to just randomly before purchasing the game search back in time for an obscure two year old article explaining vanity implementation? When I purchased the game there was no hint-- at all-- of any mention of a future vanity shop.




Ignorance is no real excuse. If you research games you are about to play, you wouldnt be up in arms.
I remember the article, i saw it when i was looking at the game previously. Why couldnt you find it?

And when you purchased the game, you got exactly what you purchased, the content they decided to give.
Your 15/month allows one to access the server, to play the content they decided to include with the purchase of the game.

The vanity items (which they too, have in game, better looking ones i might add) were not a part of that deal (obviously). They didnt trick you. You assumed something completely untrue of any game, that the money you pay gives you access to the entire game.

I can assure, there are numerous parts of the game, no one has access to. Gonna [filtered] about not being able to go beyond the barriers? Or to test maps?

Isn't it amazing how this same link has been posted repeatedly, yet the ones that are still arguing over cash shops (against it) simply ignore it?


Because that link is from Aug 13th "2010" and they have already changed much of the game since then. If they can offer skins they can offer items and who knows what else. A companies business model can change overnight depending on whose running their company. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to MMO's however,

The point most of you pro cash shop people don't understand that those of against the cash shop aren't throwing rocks at it because they want to offer paid services. We're throwing rocks at it because "cash shops" are just placed in these games as a means to nickel and dime players for certain services or features that should be done for free or as a courtesy for being a game account holder. That is our argument. It's the very princinple of it....and what makes Enmasse look so bad right now is that with all the current problems with the game it's as though they have completely ignored everyones complaints and inquiries but yet had time to throw in their little Greedshoppe. How about they fix our concerns first and then we'll talk about Cashshoppes and what not.

What does an item perk have to do with a games "features"? Features and items are 2 seperate catagories.

Its a capitalist nation. DWI. Easiest way to 'stick it to the man' is not buy from it.

And why exactly should they be done for free?

Why should people be able to change their name on a whim?
Why is sex/gender/race change so necessary all of a sudden?

The courtesy of your account is access. Thats what you are given. In other games, entire maps, dungeons, necessary items, basic bank space, basic inventory space, etc. are -blocked- unless you buy the service from the cash shoppe.

Here, you are [filtered]ing cuz you [you general, not you you] cant look pretty...oh wait, you can, because they have costumes and etc in game.
And they arent ignoring everyones complaints. Just yours. If this game is like any other game, a great majority are more than willing and able to use the cash shoppe simply for the looks.
Many of the threads of full of people who are against taking out the cash shoppe.

Why should they listen to you, over them? Especially when it benefits them not to listen to you?


And hypocritical thing about many of the posters, is that they threaten to leave for other games which are notoriously cash shoppe intensive.

When you purchase a basic product, lets say a game and spend your 50-60 dollars or whatever that is when you're paying for those "maps, dungeons, necessary items, basic bank space, basic inventory space, etc" as you so call it. Those are the basic features of that item.

When you have a subscription and you are subscribing to something on a continual bases you are then paying for benefits and services because that is what your subscription fee goes towards. You're not paying to own the game, you already brought it. You're paying them to maintain and service your game account for you.

..and what these companies do is they pry on younglins like yourself that don't realize the things they are charging you for with these RipUoffshops are what they should be doing for free, they are account services. Instead they lead you around making you think you're paying 15 dollars a month to own a game you already brought and own.

A Courtesy is something done for free. No one is providing you a "courtesy" to access something you are entitled too because you already paid for it.

Does your bank charge you to access your bank account and use your own money? NO! they don't but they may charge you for the act of them "maintaining" it for you.
