Penalty for kicking

There should be a penalty for kicking a member out of an instance to prevent excessive kicking.

If I go into an instance and say "hey guys its my first time" I get kicked.
If I just keep my mouth shut I still get kicked.
If they ask me if I can solo a kuma under 3 min I say "I dunno but I can try", i get kicked.

How am I suppose to learn? Hell, how am I suppose to even play if I keep getting kicked out of instances. I have to wait 1 hr everytime. My ilev is 141. I know it' low but damn, if I can get into an instance I should have a chance at it.

What should be the penalty? I would say 15 min cool down before they can recruit another member. Seems fair right? If a person leave a party on your own accord, they get 15 min penalty for leaving their "comrades". It should also work other way around.

it sounds like you are talking about ToT... and if you cant kill kumas in 3min... then you shouldnt be there.

I was talking about all instances in general. But have a feeling that you missed my point. How am I suppose to know if can I do something I never even tried? I was willing to give it a shot. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Not his point. He hasn't been able to do it, and wants to do it for experience, he won't say '[filtered] YEAH I GOT THIS GUYS' and then fail because he missed a dodge or something. Thats not right to do to a party. And, you really need to just experience the dungeon to get a feel for it.

I do agree they should have something to prevent excessive kicking/disbanding trolls.

No, shouldn't be a penalty.

If you want to learn you need to be tactful about it and at least have semi-decent gear. The gear "proves" that you have some level of proficiency. If you just waltz into a new or upper tier instance with nothing showing your abilities and claim you've never done something before you will get kicked, and with good reason. There's no reason they should believe that you're any good and have to waste their time with you. If it's FoK? It's entry level. No reason to kick from that.

ToT requires individual skill more than any other instance. Is it hard? Na. But still it puts more emphasis on the individual. If you can't prove immediately that you have skill, you're potentially wasting an hour of their time and patience.

Know what I did for my first run? I asked guildies about what I needed to do, learned from them without actual experience with what I'd need to look out for. When I queue'd to do it for the first time they asked if I could solo the Kuma. I said I never did it before but I was sure I could pull it off.
I had decent gear so they went with it. I pulled it off and everyone was fine. Same with the second boss. Never did it before, and said that I didn't but I said "I'll figure it out" even though I also told them I've never solo'd one of those types of crabs before. And I did. Pulled it off. Got praised. All went well.

Moral of the story? Ask people or look up information about what to look out for prior to doing anything. Invest in gear and work on it. Then do it.

If they want an in-it-to-win-it group then they should be trying to form a group from friends or guildies. If someone is wanting the best of the best then stay the hell out of the LFD tool. It is just asinine to enter into a random grouping system and then get picky with who you want to play with, you don't use the LFD to find the cream of the crop, that should be done on one's home server.

You should read the rest of my post that I edited.

No one's asking for "cream of the crop." Just either experience or proof of ability.

What does that have to do with my post?

EDIT: You're right. You PROBABLY will get kicked, but not necessarily. Sorry. But for the point I was making for the OP it's relevant.
