People against the CROSS-SERVER LFD

It was just confirmed by Minea.

This dreaded featrue just hit us, and all of our fears came true.
Turns out that TERA's LFD will be exactly like WoW's, buffing the party, teleporting, decking out extra rewards... Soon enough, tera will be no different than WoW, Rift and the like: A lobby-based matchmade dungeon running game disguised as a persistent-world MMO. And filled with EZmode for the casual masses.

So, if you're displeased, sad, or even ourright furious, I in vite you to post your toughts here. If anything, we'll let EME know that this is NOT a decision that will please so many people as they think it will.

Maybe we can't change things, as we warned and begged and hoped EME wouldn't do this. Now we know their silence on this matter was just their way of saying "we don't have good news for you".

So... if we're going out... let us go out with a bang. Post here all your rants. Because they are, YES, reasonable.

I thought there was already a thread confirming the lfd tool wouldn't be cross server... So someone just confirmed it would be? What if two GMs said it wouldn't and now one did, WHAT IS THE REAL ANSWER!!!!!

Minea is the community manager and a blue poster.

I take that her word has more weight than that of a GM.
Unfortunately.
I wanna punch someone in the face right now.

Alex I am displeased, sad and also outright furious as you put it. I mean for seriouslies I don't understand why people can't pull their head's out of cavities they don't belong in and keep them that way. It absolutely baffles me into an emotional trifecta.

Cross-server sucks. It better not be in the Official RP server since it pretty much is against the rules of the server its self.

The worst part is that they reward people for using the feature, which means it will pretty much be impossible to create a pug outside of the Cross-Server LFD.

So whats your argument now? o right that it "kill the community aspect of the game" hold on.... ROFLLMAOLOLCOPTER

Right...

Because online rpgs have nothing to do with community...

2 years UO

1 Year LOTRO
7 years WoW

enough MMO experience for you?

All of that is for saying I'm seeing EME do with TERA exactly what's been done to WoW and RIFT, and we all saw what THAT is like. You guys are killing the open world, AND at the same time catering to an audience that couldn't care less about challenging content. Way to go, En Masse. Way to go indeed!

Can an EME rep please confirm some details about this retarded LFD feature please.

Will it...

1) Teleport group to dungeon
2) Cross server
3) What buffs?

None of these features should be in the game. If LFD is in, leave it just that, to form a group and you have to walk your happy [filtered] to the location.

Anyone who is really going to seriously try and debate that having cross server functionality will kill the game because of poor community interaction needs their head examined or hasnt played an RPG since D&D the board game.

When you can back up your argument with facts instead of over exaggerated emotional responses i'd be glad to sit here and debate with you.
