GMs are having such a fit because people are using LFG as a global chat, personally I've done it too, I like being able to chat globally with other players because I am in a very empty area at the moment.

If global chat were implemented LFG would quiet down back for its original use.

Yeah today /lfg was just as dumb as any other day, so clearly the 1 min thing didn't change much.

Obviously players want a bs'ing global channel so it makes sense to just put one in and make it easy to use and also give people the ability to turn it off if they want.

I like random nonsense but I also like being able to have people see my actual /lfg things and be able to see others.

Good try EME and the reference to Barrens chat was funny. But you'll have to try again, I'm afraid.

Yeah Global would just be an optional channel for people to turn on like LFG, but it'd be easier to find than the one the GM suggested /general 5555 or something of the sort -.- the point of a global chat is that everyone can find it if they want. A newly joined person wont know to look for some randomly made up channel

A simple and profitable fix... Like in F2P games, add global chat and add "megaphone" global chat item into cash shop. ;)

Add it for those that use it and to keep the trolls out of all the other channels, we can just turn it off if we want to and our other channels will be used for their intended purposes.

ya global channels make it easy for me to find the douche bags to put on my ignore list

without it I may accidentally group with one of you, which is bad.

*edit* besides, LFG is already a global channel and theres plenty of on going spam there. just because you feel you need to type more than a single line a minute doesnt mean theres no global channel.
