Tera has no vanity pets, although EME is looking into possibly implementing them for our version. The only mount that could possibly be sold for real money is the Hellfire horse, and that moves at the same speed as the much more epic lion mount, and black horse horse you get for free at 60, as well as the leopard mount that I forget how you get. So basically you'd be paying for something you could get many times over for doing stuff in-game.

I'm really looking for pets in general, whether they are in the Vanity Shop or not. I loved them in WoW/Rift and I think they'd be a great addition in TERA as well.

That's the point of a "vanity" shop. Just for looks. Once you cross into giving them better stats than you can get in game. That's when the community might, rightfully, start screaming bloody murder.
