Heya, tomorrows early character creation has me pondering names....

Care to share any names you've been pondering? Why them?

I've been thinking of:

Kymaera - Used it in Ultima Online and tera cbt1-5. Enemies/Friends may find me from there...sorta want to use it incase other UO fans recognize me, but the playerbase was so small comparatively, so kind of negates the reasoning.

Tisiphone - Greek Mythology, she's one of the Furies, whose name denominates Vengeful Destruction.

Medusa - The Gorgon of Greek Mythology, figure it'd be kinda funny since I'm a sorceress and they get Stone Skin at level 60. Would be interesting to entice someone named Perseus to PK me...

Elmara - Name of the mage Elminster in the Forgotten Realms books when in female form.

Bambi - To promote Castanics as full grown deer Elin. (Psst, this last name was a joke, but I can't be the only one who sees similarities with deer...the horns, the feet...)

Any one care to give their thoughts to my names above? Suggestions?

I would tell you what im going to name my characters however, i don't want anyone to take it :-)

Yep, understandable. I don't think anyone wants to take Kymaera though, hopefully... :P

Also think the name Kymaera may put a target on their back if people I've upset on these forums saw them. I know I faught Fatwa in-game and he /whispered me inquiring to if I was me. lol

hmm no idea, i have untill 3/4th of may to decide anyways as i hava to wait for the phyical game to get here :(

il prolly end going with zannin :P

my castanic zerker will be going by "Kalas," its a combination between two dark elven names, Ralas and Kalanyrr, the former meaning something like "of the shadows" or "the dark one," (something along those lines at least) and Kalanyrr means elven warrior.

so i thought the darkness/shadow part fit well with the castanic part and the warrior fit well with the zerker (yes i know theres an actual warrior class in the game, but i dont really care lol). PLUS it sounds cool.

(and for anyone whos played baten kaitos for gamecube youll remember the main characters name was Kallas, 2 Ls, and i didnt even remember to after i came up with this name lol)

my amani slayer will be called "Ryld," in memory of Ryld Argith from the spider queen book series. SPOILER!!!! his death ruined the entire series for me for several different reasons, so im gonna continue his "legacy" ina weird round about way lol

Yeah, anonymity is a great shield. I however am prepared to back up anything I say in a forum in-game. Pretty stupid, I know. I do draw the line at pasting my face everywhere like the off-topic section...at least until people stop killing eachother in rl over a game. I don't have a problem saying anything I say at these forums in-game though.
Also, I was in an OWPVP scenerio, and died...after dying, I got whispered by one of those responsible for my death asking if I was the Kymaera of the forums. I welcome the acknowledgement personally, and I do play a PvP server for a reason.
