Just have servers on both coasts. Have they actually said anything yet?

I talked to them in the last test and they said they're sticking with West Coast servers, so until they say otherwise that's what we'll be playing on. Nice juicy 200 ping

EME has made a point of not disclosing server location, they fielded questions during the CPE in the same manner. I call shenanigans on your statement.

Well then it's your loss, I clearly asked on the forum are we going to have east coast servers and the reply was west coast is what they were sticking with

Perhaps they were refering to the FTGs and CPEs and not the retail launch as a whole.

Yeah, until they officially state publicly that they are only doing West coast servers at launch, I wouldn't put stock in it.

Are you sure you aren't misremembering? Their QA server was hosted locally, but they've consistently avoided disclosing actual game server plans.

or don't have a crappy internet. problem solved.

Or realise that some players don't play from the US and could be pretty far from the servers even on the same continent?

Also there is that fact that in other places "good" internet is very expensive compared to the US.

I used to get 70ms in wow to a west coast server, so I assume I'd be OK, but I can imagine it could affect people from Québec.

I would've assumed at launch they'd open up several different servers, I've yet to see games that don't have servers available in at least West/East coast servers.

I notice that there is no regional information shown for the sever shown in this pic. I understand that is for the Euro event this weekend, but perhaps there will be no regional distinctions.

The only reason not to have a regional distinctions, is if all of your servers are located in the same place. Even then, assignment of a "time zone" tag is still usually preferred, to keep group-gathering times consistent for those there. Since this weekend's EU test has been touted as something different than the NA, I wouldn't be inclined to think the servers used there indicate much about launch. It's possible that EME just hasn't worked out all of the server distinction details yet.

The current stance is that En Masse are happy just using Seattle servers( West Coast ) but being that ping matters so much in this game will East Coast servers be considered?

My university = two hours east of Seattle

My house = 45 minutes south of Seattle

Be jelly of my amazing ping.

You really think EU is only going to have those two servers? They are probably just located at the same place, yes. That doesn't really say much about their retail, let alone ours.
