Please Rework the Nexus Events

The big thing that bugs me about the Nexus events is that we're most rewarded by zerging single portals with as many people as possible causing untold amounts of lag and FPS issues, even on decent computers, no matter the video setting. Please rework these.

The ideal number of people should be about 40 to 50 to a single portal. Players are given participation rewards for all three phases and for closing a portal after participating from phase 1. At the end of the event, all portals closed reward everyone in the zone based on how many phases and how many portals they've participated in. Clearing a zone, like the Khanovar Front, would also net a reward to everyone participating, as would the Val Kaeli regions of Argonea and Granarkus. Successfully clearing every portal across all three areas would provide even more reward, and anyone participating in one region when another is cleared of portals should also net them reward in case the population is split too much.

Basically, there needs to be an incentive to split up and clear portals at the same time instead of zerg one after another, because the FPS issues are just... annoying. If my server can regularly clear Khanovar Front plus 2 to 3 Argonea with a mass zerg, we should be just as if not more rewarded for doing the same with the zerg split to 40-50 person groups.

It's going to be hard to get people to accept the change, even if you made it less zergy people would now start complaining you don't get as much reputation this way so they'd have to re-work that as well.

Regardless I think the lag could be extremely reduced if they just turned off sorc spell effects(lol hailstorm) and mystic totem effects.

However, in the recent informaion posted in Korea about Queen of Argon part 2, the nexus is actually getting reworked and they are introducing a Raid UI, 10-20 man groups I believe.

Yeah my biggest issue with the nexus events is the lack of a raid group, There isn't any thing wrong with splitting up the people into a [filtered] load of five man groups how ever, when you're paired up with two warriors, two zerkers, and an archer it's a pain in the [filtered]!!! If they introduce the 10-20 man raid groups these events would be great, and they still can be but with the stacking debuff that we get it sucks because you know you may rarely ever see a heal... I know last night there was well over a hundred of us and only about twenty people got healed the rest of us had to continuously drop out and bandage., it was a pain in the [filtered].. So unless they
1. remove the debuff
2. Introduce raid groups
These events aren't even worth doing, either way they need to address this issue :) and very soon!!!

Small mobs drop health and regen orbs. If you get low, skirt the edges spamming f to pick up orbs. I have never died to the debuff because of that despite rarely getting a heal.

I'd also like to add to that a recommendation to invest in a chest piece that may regen HP on combat start because you're only in combat for as long as your weapon is swinging and hitting. There's no reason to use your +9 piece over a static blue for these events if one offers HP regen on combat start. Also, stack HP regen crystals. I never need to run out for motes anymore.

The design is simple: Everyone earns rewards for each phase. Completing all three phases of a single portal nets you the most reward for that portal. At the end of the event, everyone is given rewards based on how many portals were closed compared to how many they personally helped close across all three zones. As well, if one of the three regions is cleared entirely of portals, everyone participating gets an extra reward, even if they're in a different region. In the end, the net rep and credit gain should be better overall than as it stands, and we'd not be forced into laggy zergs to boot.

I like the idea of limiting the amount of players to 40 or 50 per Nexus and adjusting the net rep/token gain. That would solve some issues. But we also need to solve the issue of AFKers. They should make it so unless you are constantly engaged in combat you get some sort of AFK flag and get no rep. I'm tired of carrying AFKers to points on my Priest. Even better, after they get an AFK flag let us all PK them. I have to work to get my points, so should the rest of you. I don't care how bad your computer is - I have guildies with bad computers and they make it work.

Personally, I blame Cavoos.
