The goal of EME is to Westernize the game.
Punishing RNG mechanics are something that doesn't fly in the West. Games that have done this in the past have failed.
The people who say to keep the system as is, have already stated they don't want a "Western" game. They want a K-MMORPG with translations.
Which means the people agains this system don't want a Westernized game, which is the whole point of EME and their job.

No, I don't think BHS or EME are wasting their money. I think they have a solid plan and at the same time, they have -realistic- expectations on that ROI. Not the imaginary returns that so many others see when they look at the western market. However, basing an argument on whether or not something will make TERA a massive hit in the west is (to me, obviously) pointless, because it presupposes that it is -expected- to be a massive hit in the first place.
