What does launch have to do with this thread? The option to reintroduce a removed mechanic still exists regardless of whether the game has launched or not. Thus there will always be opinions on it. Those opinions aren't going to die simply because a thread is closed. Should we fill up another 76 pages somewhere else instead?

Hopefully not and bring the shops back.

I'm not surprised at all. In the previous incarnation of these forums there were many threads complaining about the barren nature of the city. How odd to then see people complaining about how busy the city looked with player shops in it a year later. Now we'll be back to barren looking cities again.

Players complained about the huge areas in Velika (like Freedom Plaza) being cluttered with player shops without understanding that those very areas were likely made huge specifically because the developers always intended for player shops to be placed there (they are, after all, the ones who designate which areas are and aren't usable by shops). Now we have no shops and huge barren areas in the city that make little sense.

That will be the real eyesore now, and unlike player shops there's no option to disable that.

Not sure how NA's pseudo"beta" is actually going now, but Veika trading areas are stupidly looking deserts in EU as of now. Ornaments aside, it's functionality ripped off out of the game that hurt most though (buying and its crafting influence, no quantity constraints, locality), not mentioning later side effects (vanarchs and related things).

Those personal shops are a "PAIN IN THE ARSE" !!

Having to go around to all those damm personal shops to see what the cheapest damm price is then go to the AH and check there too is a "WASTE OF MY DAMM TIME" !!

Auction House does it all at the one place, easier.....end of story!!

Bring back purchasing pets kthx.

You can rest assured the prices handed down on a silver platter from ebay interface will differ little from pet shops, once the market stabilizes - it's natural. You also have plenty of players sharing your PoV of never touching a player shop, so AH will be filled with monstrous amount of crap in no time, with new 50*#characters/server limits (compared to 1 shop/server limitation pets have - equivalent of 10 auctions).

But if you want to get benefits from some of the game's features, you have to participate in it. Like with every other part of the game - bgs, instances, owpvp, ow bams/bosses, crafting, gathering, nexus events, daily quest grind and so on. Aside from blinded fanbois, no one will like everything.

A little example for you - gathering buffs - strong & stackable with 20m duration. Want their benefits ? - pick the [filtered] flowers. Or shall we replace them with random npcs randomly going through all the game areas randomly buffing players out of the blue - only because someone felt inconvenienced by gathering and considered it a "waste of time" ?

It's easier for us buyers if that player lists their stuff at the one place (AH) so we don't miss on a bargin.

Forcing us to run around like a headless chooks checking all the player shops for the cheapest price is plain "DUMB" !!

and so on. There's no forcing here. It's players' choice.
