It does seem pretty silly that we went from a useful landscape filled with this:



to a landscape filled with this uselessness:



At least there was an option in the UI to disable the shop visuals in the first image. Too bad the same isn't true for the mote spam in the second.

Hopefully the obt experience stresses this point a little more.
Now that people have seen two obvious effects of pet shop removal.

1) Ah supply is locked down and controlled by a few people. There's no longer a direct barter layer making the micromanaging of supply nearly impossible.

2) Gold spammers/power levelers are now spamming general chat, instead of using shops.
Rmt will exist regardless. You cannot remove it, only direct it down a channel that's less annoying.

Well I do want playshops back in game...

The gold spammers will just end up using both shops and chat channels. So saying this doesn't actually matter

The best way to not worry about Gold spammers is to just limit what shops can say and advertise.

Yes Auction House are always locked down by the few people who spend the time doing it right. Even more so in the future when the AH bots start getting created for this game.

Then why didn't you just use the filter that was created in the game already available for you.

That second pic is just down right sad. Those pet's shops could've really turned into something. They were innovative and an endearing aspect in the game. It'd be great if they brought them back. :oT

This is worthless. It's one of the reasons XIV was a flop at release because it had NO ah and only worthless as hell player shops. Doesn't matter what extras are ontop of the shops. The more convenience you add to the shops just makes it closer to an auction house.
