Necroing a thread from March...nice. And a bad one at that.
I advise you to at least attempt to read through a thread before making incorrect assumptions and accusations like this in the future. This thread hasn't been necro'd since march. It's an ongoing discussion that has been continuing steadily since March.
These threads hang around a long time for some reason. I suspect it might be that some customers do not find removing content an improvement.
But we can let EME try to continue that style. I suggest they remove Dungeons next update. That will be a blast. And it is easy to motivate it too. "Many people complained about long waiting times on dungeons" or "Dungeons took away open world PvP".
I'm really looking forward to this new and amazing Tera without content.
Sure Pets are gone, however Bots are not. Bots are already running around everywhere in the world of Tera.....
Head to your local Poplien and head south, bots will be killing kitties and pigs. They play priest class, non-guilded, and sometimes where the Island of Dawn Lumberjack title....
Pet removed did not stop the march of the bots.... Also... thanks to AH only, bots are also in there messing with the Buys/sells..... sigh.
You people amuse me. You think you are seeing bots everywhere, you convince yourselves they are literally so many you can't move. You act like it is all the developer fault and that you are incredulous they even exist ingames.
Let me tell you that firstly, the people you think are bots, while yes there may be some, are not all bots.
You know just for fun I occasionally act like one in WoW to see the reporters get all het up about it, and I never tell them I was winding them up, and in 7 years play, have not once actually botted, nor had a GM approach me about it.
Now, on the flip side, I did a test. I reported one player in WoW again who I knew was botting, as he openly bragged about in guild chat, and he was gone from the game for good within a few hours of the ticket. He screamed blue murder on vent, and we all enjoyed blocking him and seeing him gone for good.
The same day I reported players who were commonly found killing the same mobs over and over. They weren't removed. Does this mean they weren't bots? Well it just means that what I think is a bot, and what can be confirmed as a bot are 2 different things.
Remember though, that for everyone you think might be bot, equally they could be as trolly as I am, in that they just do it to see people like you get their knickers all wadded up, as it gives me great satisfaction to mess with internet heroes, and yes, I love myself for doing it.
I don't know about farming bots, but I sure see a lot of gold selling advertisements happening. And this was supposed to be one of EME's big reasons for removing player shops.
In the end it didn't help at all.. and really, why would it? It is so much easier (and cheaper) to just create a character and spam the chat channels with RMT advertisements than it ever was to level a character to 11, go to Velika, buy a pet shop, and set up a website advertisement in the text box. And you reach more eyes with the chat spam too. Just a silly, silly excuse.
