Plus Crit Damage Crystals

Unless I am missing something these do not seem very practical to me due to their low numbers.

The crystals read something like "Critical attacks do an additional .85% times damage when attacking from the rear." There is also a version of below 50%.

.85% does not really seem worth it to me. At least not to other crystals you could be stocking. I mean if you just want to get the highest crit possible this you what you need but if you want to increase your damage over time these do not seem the best choice.

Also do the crystals that "do 5% more damage to normal monsters" (also a version for bosses) effect crit attacks? There is a huge gap between 5% on all attacks and .85% on only crit from behind.

It's not .85%, it's .85 TIMES. The base crit power is 2 times, so .85 times would make it 2.85 times.

You can easily get 5 times crit power and higher with crystals, but it's sorta debatable, crit crystals over % damage crystals.

As you get higher in levels, those % damage crystals will in theory give a lot more damage depending on what damage stat they increase, IE: total, base weapon attack, etc.

Crit chances stack.

If you have .85% from the rear 2.1% crit crystal you have 2.95% from the rear.

Then take in account some people are castanic so another 1%

Then take in account hands masterwork which is 2% (Much more if fully enchanted)

Then add in any other bonuses

5.95% from the rear wayyy more if you have fully enchanted hands.

OP is talking about Crit Damage, not Chance, and as stated in my older post, confused the 0.85 times with 0.85%.

If you would put it into a %, it would be 85% since your base crit power is 200%, AKA 2.0 times.

Crit chances stack.

He's not talking about crit chance. He's referencing the crit damage multiplier and wondering why the .85 number is so low.

Well that is quite a big difference. Thanks for clearing that up.

Actually, crit crystals of the same type dont stack, and each crit crystal effects a different type of monster. There are 'Against small creatuers', 'From Behind', 'Against knocked down foe', 'Enraged creature'. There are others I forget, but the same type wont stack with each other, and most are conditional.

Currently you can get just under 4x right now, and 5x when it's Enraged. This means your 4k hit will do 20k damage on a crit. These crystals are insane and make your boom booms go way up.

Actually the savage crystal works against all enemy types, but it is lower than the acrimonious/backbiting which only only affect one type.

Actually, crit crystals of the same type dont stack, and each crit crystal effects a different type of monster. Some effect bams, some effect minions, some effect normals, some effect enraged monsters (most effective against bams as normals dont stay enraged that long). You cant use more than one that effect bams, minions, or normals at the same time, but the enraged one will stack with the others.

Crystals of the same NAME do not stack. For example, there are two different types of crystals that effect crit power from behind. Ones that effects all monsters, and ones that effect only normal, or bosses. Both of those effects stack since they are two totally different crystals.

The highest crystals are level 58, Savage, for 1.06 times behind on all, Slaying for 1.44 below 50% HP, Focused for 1.56 times vs enraged, and Acrimonious for 1.38 times behind on bosses.

1.06 + 1.44 + 1.56 + 1.38 = 5.44 + 2.0base = 7.44 crit power

Of course, using just crit power crystals may not be very effective DPS, would need to compare it to using damage crystals at cap level.

Also, there are Scrolls that increase crit power so that 7.44 could become 8.78.
