Plz reform the dye system

There are 2 things that I really am having a hard time with right now. The game is quite fun and I've been having a blast so far. However, lets address the dye system.

--Currently, dyes only last 1 day. (24 hours game time). Or 7 days (if you buy the more expensive dyes).

--The color applied to gear after the dye is applied is a combination of the dye you buy and the color already on your gear. (e.g. Red dye + blue armor = purple armor).

This is lame, EME. Plain and simple. This may get me flames, but in GW2, you can change the color of your armor whenever you want. You just open up the character pane, select the dye tab, and customize on the spot. No cost. No expiration. And the colors you choose, are the colors that are applied.

Now, I'm not asking you to be just like GW2. But am I the only one who thinks TERA's dye system is total rubbish?

I think it's fine.

10k gold is absolutely nothing. Killing a single Basilisk nets you anywhere from about 5k to 40k gold. Just one Basilisk. I'm sure when you reach level 58 killing a single BAM will give you enough gold to keep your gear dyed for literally years.

Also I really haven't had a problem with finding the correct colours, either. I found the 5 or so colours they gave you were enough to make my two sets match. Just be sure to not choose the same shade for every piece of gear.

Also, you can craft better dyes, including ones that let you choose your own colours. Just a heads up.

I personally like the system, and never really had an issue with it. The amount of money you will have near end game will be insane, and I think its a fair and fun money sink.

There are higher quality levels of dye which last longer that you can't buy from that vendor. You can make better dyes later in the game.

As others have stated, you will have ridiculous amounts of gold when dyeing gear actually matters. Right now you might replace your chest piece several times in one day through quests at the level you're currently playing at with these first few closed beta tests. Do you really want to be re-dyeing your gear each time?

I don't have an issue with cost, but having to refresh it every day... omg!

It may not sound annoying, but imagine having to re-equipt, re-learn skills etc every day, it will drive you mad!

It reminds me of Diablo 2 WW-sin - if anyone played it, you had to repair your weapons every so often, sure you had near unlim gold - but what a pain it is.

Re-equip, re-learn and stuff like that would be detrimental to gameplay.

Dye is cosmetic, and I think its a clever way to get money out of the game. If you decide to not to do it, it doesn't affect gameplay.

I see your point, i just disagree ;)

At lower levels you will be replacing gear fast enough that the timer on the dyes won't matter. Once you finally find yourself using the same gear for extended periods of time, the 168 hour dye will last even the more hardcore players several weeks.

What they don't tell you is that the dye wears off during play, not when logged out. If one plays only one hour a day, it won't wear out for 24 days as far as the individual is concerned. At eight hours a day, the one day dye will last three days. I think one can come up with another 10k gold in 21 days at 8 hours a day (or 168 hours of play time) for another seven-day dye at level 22 pretty much effortlessly. Actually, 168 hours after reaching level 22, you'll probably be capped.

At level 58-60, you shouldn't notice the gold is gone.

It's a tiny money sink, practically microscopic compared to identification scrolls, but a money sink none-the-less.

Money sinks like this need to exist. I think it's a good thing.

I don't like it much. I'd prefer permanent, such a small money sink is hardly worth it. I can't see why it is only temporary in the first place
