Political System Completely Useless

"This kind of political system works for the Korean version of the game where you can PvP and where there's penalities, where you can choose to open or close PvP Zones."

Yeah, so much penalties that no one use the outlaw system there. And we can also choose to close or open pvp zones.

"Allright, you know that these guild with the highest vote will most likely be in power of the high lvl zones right? "

Guild with the highest votes are going to be the ones in power, tell me more Sherlock.

"They will get your money for which you actually worked for, invested a big part of your time in, for free. And that's what upsets me the most, it's like if we pay him to keep the shops open, like if it was a favor when we've been doing prefectly fine until now... "

Just like in real life. Next.

so far I love the vanarch system...

It makes u involed in the server politics, and at least for me, its something new in a MMO.

So far, at least my gameplay experience is amazing with this new system.

My opinion: you should give it at least some time before making posts or judging. Afterall if the system becomes rotten, the community will speak up, and people are not going to vote for X vanarch.

Allright, 1st in Kr there's tons of people who uses the Pk system just moderately and not for simply fun of makign someone's day more crappier. And Cmon "votes", use some intelligence its a typo, he meant members '=.= . And Yea, Just like IRL Which is why this system is completely useless in a game.

I want this system Removed or retuned, Basically what the political system is right now;

-Give Full power Over the Game Experience Over the whole Game World to Zerg Guild, Aka Unorganized non experienced noobs who recruited openly with no standards.

-They Can Charge Taxes, god knows how much, and all the money just goes to the guild leader and then he can do w/e he wants to with it. What Did he do to earn the money? What did a zerg guild do to earn so much money over other peoples backs? Feature is fail complete fail. The PvP tournaments on the other hand are interesting and add a big + to the game but simply voting for your own guild is completely meaning less..

Noobs who get so much power and for what? What does that even bring to the community? Absolutely Nothing. Why do we want people to choose if they wanna open shops or not? Before the Political system got implement we were doing just fine.

What happen is that guilds will vote for themselves. And that's it. This kind of political system works for the Korean version of the game where you can PvP and where there's penalities, where you can choose to open or close PvP Zones.

Remember when most tradebrokers, merchants, skill vendors, specialty merchants were all closed? Well that's because they were preparing the game for the political system giving you a pre taste of what it could be like. Now, once the elections are finished you might see SOME and that's if we're lucky, some shops open but believe me that little "privilege" will come with huge tax increase 30%+ going directly into a noob zerg guild Leader.

They will get your money for which you actually worked for, invested a big part of your time in, for free. And that's what upsets me the most, it's like if we pay him to keep the shops open, like if it was a favor when we've been doing prefectly fine until now...

Anyhow I think this is just a feature as it is now, that if being removed would only make the game better.

Why dont you just quit already?

Politics.
Not whining.
It means that the vanarchs of the important zones will have to use their brains to win. Zerg guilds wont win just because they have 300 members. The guild leader who uses his brain and makes pacts with OTHER guilds for their votes will be the one that wins. You do understand how elections are meant to work? There will be problems with dishonest leaders, but they can also be voted out the next election if everyone is smart enough. Just like in real life.

Yes, let's remove one of the most interesting features of Tera because you don't stand a chance at Vanarch because you only have a handful of people who would vote for you, MAKES SENSE TO ME!

But seriously, this thread is hilarious.

Also there's 5 Vanarchs per continent, so 15 Vanarchs total. If you actually put forth effort you might have a chance at a zone.

I think the system is probably OK, at least it seems like it right now. From what I understand, the specialty shops costs the Vanarch money to keep open. To have enough money, then the Vanarch has to make money from taxes based on the sales. So it is in the Vanarch's best interest, even if they are greedy, to keep as many specialty shops open as possible. This means that the non-profitable ones may close but isn't that how it should be? If nobody is using the shop then well it closes. Or a Vanarch may realize that although a specialty shop isn't being used so much as to be profitable but is still critical then the Vanarch can close down other shops that are barely making money to compensate.

There really isn't much reason for a Vanarch to be a [filtered] because then they'll probably end up losing a lot of money and be voted out in a short period anyway.
