Its a great thing for the game and for players with limited time. The open world pvp idea is a joke anyways because the area around dungeons are safe. At this point in my life I just don't have 3 hours to spend finding a group in chat, getting into an instance and then running the place. Also the odds of getting a retard in a pug group doesn't change whether you use LFD or use chat spam to get the group together.
An In-server LFD tool is great for the game and players with limited time. A cross-server LFD tool is bad for the game and the integrity of the server community overall.
3 hours? Please...
The difference between an in-server LFD and a cross-server LFD would be a few minutes, and makes all the difference for a lot of players who know what happens to games who implement cross-server mechanics.
If you play DPS you would be [filtered] and might find a group in a few hours. Why do you think WoW went cross server? Originally LFD was server only, except the DPS couldn't find a group. Tanks and healers found groups just fine though.
And if you want community, join a guild. Thats the only real community anyways.
I have no experience with cross server lfd. But I'm curious, how does cross server lfd help with dps's finding groups? Yes there's more healers/tanks searching overall, but percentage wise wouldn't it still be the same?
Just seeing if I can bump my own post...
Voted no to cross server. I'm surprised at the results though, cuz it's bad.
random people who you shouldn't give a damn about does not equal community
think about this, dont use it!
how do you justify complaining about a tool that does exactly what you want it to?
LFD, match me with random person
-matched-
this guy sucks! stupid LFD must be the source of my problems!
-_- join a guild, make friends, and dont use the bloody thing.
