I personally hope they do not implement a "Cross-Server" LFD Tool.

I would be fine with a Server Specific LFD Tool, so long as it did not teleport the user into the instance on PvP Servers. Open world traffic is necessary for Open world PvP.

Well, the biggest reason to have them is if you have to grind out some kind of point system to acquire gear. That's the only reason I like them. Although it causes me to completely loath the dungeons I'm running over and over for points. Of course there is gear that drops off bosses, but you won't be running them non-stop week after week until you're so sick of them you don't want to log on.

If a point system is implemented (There might be, I haven't seen anything mentioned of it tho) to get gear off vendors, then yes, a LFD would almost be necessary.

Personally I don't want one nor do I want any type of system that requires you to run a dungeon over and over to buy gear. Having to run a dungeon because you are forced too instead of because you want to is never fun.

I agree. I think LFG is still needed, if anything to appease the casual audience that claims to not have enough time to manually form a group. I can say no to a badge system, though. We don't have enough gear going around to warrant it as you will likely get a drop you need fairly quickly.

I have no experience with cross server lfd. But I'm curious, how does cross server lfd help with dps's finding groups? Yes there's more healers/tanks searching overall, but percentage wise wouldn't it still be the same?

The only thing that comes to mind is that it would deal with the irregularities in server population. If a server had very few players online at a certain time of day or had more healers and fewer dps than most other servers, it would still be possible for players on that server to run dungeons.
Try finding a group at 3 a.m. without a cross-server dungeon finder to increase the pool of players.

Myself, I liked playing with people I didn't know. By the time one's played on a server for some amount of time, he's developed opinions of particular players and guilds. What does that player do when, after a 30 minute queue, he gets paired with a player he knows and dislikes or with a player from a guild he has a very low opinion of? With completely new people, it's possible to have a group experience that's unburdened by past encounters.
Sometimes the best part of being part of a community is being able to turn it off.

They already have cross server LFG with ports.
And I imagine they will keep it after seeing the failures against it flaunt their ignorance on the forums.
