I voted no, but not for the reasons listed on the no choice. If I had never played WoW with the cross-server lfg tool I would be indifferent, but since I have I'm hesitant with any game that has it mainly because the internet already gives people anonymity while playing which allows people to be a bit less like how they would be in real life. Now add in the cross server lfg and it adds way more anonymity to the equation because now they can be a complete and total [filtered] with little to no repercussions. Where as at least on a same server on they have to be some what civil if they don't want to get black-balled by the server.
o_________o 500+ votes holy [filtered]!
Seems to me that it's fairly dead even. I voted for, even though I'm somewhat neutral. I agree with those concerned that it does take away a bit from the community of each individual server, but I personally have no love lost for the days when we were forced to spam chat for hours to find a group willing to do a particular dungeon, and you would lose a member every 20 minutes who had something better to do.
Whether you like it or not, LFD does add some productivity to your dungeon runs. I think that it is an overall good feature to have in any MMO - the trick is finding other ways to make the server communities unique, and I think we'll see that through the Vanarch political system. I sense that we'll be seeing eachother's names quite often after a time, and I'm excited to see how it goes.
Everyone is voting for NO CROSS SERVER lol
Remember guys... this is to do with CROSS SERVER.
Personally, I am not a fan of X-Server LFD. Same server LFD is great though. However, if they simply got rid of the buffs (Which they already have), and instant teleports I think I would be fine with it. I don't PvP or plan on it anyway, but this more than anything else will kill OWPvP. Instead of people being out in the world, they will have everything they need in town. Get ready to see everyone just standing around the major cities watching a countdown. Kinda surprised at how many hardcore PvP people are for it...
