the reason the new amd cpu's dont perform to their best is because how the cpu's architect is built. Windows 7's task manager dosent work well with it, the new Windows 8 is more compatible with it, also Windows 8 can fully support 8 cores.

This is a true statement.

However, no games, including Tera, benefit from 8 cores.

Also, CPU speed and architecture matter a lot in games. For example, a 3.5ghz Core2Quad will not perform as good as an i7 clocked at 3.5ghz, so don't be fooled by "CPU clock speeds". They are important, yes, but that doesn't account for all of the performance.

Basically, AMD FX Bulldozer 8 core CPUs will handle multitasking fairly well, especially when windows 8 comes out.

But a 4 core 1155 i5 CPU @4.0 or 4.5Ghz will give awesome performance in Tera, where the 8 core AMD CPU will get bad performance.

Basically Tera only uses 1 or 2 cores. The 3rd and 4th cores can handle background applications and such, but not really even needed.

Unfortunately too many people saw "8 cores" and bought it thinking it was gunna be great for gaming, and it turned out to be garbage. maybe 5 or 10 years from now when games actually use 6-8 cores it'll be cool, but right now, it's a complete waste and a terrible gaming CPU.

nvidia 220..... orly....... pretty much the weakest of an old gpu model.

Well, I clearly see your point. However, my card still meets/exceeds the "recommended" criteria for this game. As such, I would expect it to run more smoothly. Well, this is a BETA test, so I hoping that by OB or defnitely by official launch on May 1st that things will run much better.

Honestly the 8120 is a good gaming chip if you don't play mmos.I owned one for a few weeks and I could not tell the difference between that and my friends i7 while playing any non mmo game.

The mmo issue is not limited ito the 8120/8150 all amd chips have issues running mmos.

But sadly I do play mmos so i ended up selling 8120 and going back to my 965 until ivy bridge.

ROFLS. My 700 rig will play TERA as well as your 8k one. Bought by someone who doesn't know how to build gaming rigs, and doesn't understand how computers really work.

May U'll be able to play TERA very nice and smooth but that rig is very powerful. No matter how good you are at configuring and tweaking your system. A better PC will always be better.

And please do not claim that I do not know what I talk about. (you always seem to do that) I do know.
