So.....I was just thinking, all these people logging in at the same time....if the server doesn't crash....if there isn't a que to sign on......everyone is going to be doing the same quests in the same area!!!! This is going to be my first MMO that i'll be playing right from the start, ( I don't count SWTOR lol) well anyways, WoW and SWTOR atleast kind of avoid the problem by having faction/class/race starting areas. If in Tera, everyone is going to be on the island....doing the exact same thing??? I mean, i'm sure EME/BHS has thought of this and have thought of something, but this was just on my mind this morning.
They normally open a ton of extra channels for things like this. The JP launch had something like 50 channels for the island of dawn.
I never said make things easier? idk where you got that from. I was just saying, if there is a quest to kill 10 monsters......and there are like 50 people standing there to kill 1 thing, just wondering how that is going to work out.
Starting zone has like 25 channels or something.. so, whatev's
Yeah, channels will take care of that, and usually the rush lasts for only a few a hours, then it starts to balance out.

Channels still reside on the same servers you just wont see those other players & thus its a different instance.
ie, Vindictus has 2 servers per (East/West) w/ 100 Channels each. totalling 400 Channels across 2 Servers with 200 channels per side. which was nearly full at launch, at this point guilds just claim a channel and stick to it.
Channels wont reduce server strain, I WOULD reccomend logging into the launcher a good 5 minutes Before 3PM/Noon (pst) Especially if your in VOT because the login server for the game is tied to the same server the site is on (or well, forums atleast)
I would figure they would have fixed that after this mass logins for early character reservations.
