Pre-Made Instance Group Cool down

When I group with my friends and run the instance to enter it manually, I usually get a 55 minutes cool down which is strange because when we finish the Instance it take us about 45 - 1 hours run. This was Akashi Hide Out normal mode.

I seam to be getting this a lot and was wondering if it is working as intended that there is longer cool down for not using the LFG or is this is a bug or glitch. I get it quite often and it is frustrating being lock out.

When I try to que, usually the cool down is only around 15 - 30 minutes depending on how fast the PUG finish the Instance.

Working as intended. Using the instance matchmaker means half the cooldown... and as of lately, some free stuff.

Damn that really bs. We are getting punish for partying with friends. Longer cool down, and no free gift for completing Instance. They are trying too hard to make people use this LFG, but using this almost kill my crystal most of the times. Some are ok, but some are really terrible.

Don't care about the Free gift, but can we atleast have the same cool down as LFG because this seam really unfair now.

I believe the trick being used for this, is to que up for it with 4 of you, kick the 5th untill you get your friend.

You are not being punished. The shorter cooldowns and free prizes are included as compensation for all of the headaches and drawbacks that come with using the instance matching tool to run instances. Things like sitting in the queue for hours trying to get in a group, getting instantly kicked after waiting out a queue and having to sit through yet another queue period, having runs take a lot longer due to running with people you don't know and higher likelihood of wipes and failure.

On average, a static group can get more runs in in a set period of time than a player who just queues up in the instance matcher every time, even though the lockout timer is twice as long for running your own group.

While I would agree with all the points being made here, both against and for the current CDs, I have to side with the people against the current CD for static or premade groups on principal. There are definitely advantages that premades/statics have over PUGs, but it seems unfair to me that they have a longer cool down. The cool down should be the same for both kinds of groups, IMHO and in principal.

PUGs should not have any advantage. Game should not reward lazy people. That is unfair for people who trying do something in game. Game should reward people for build community, make friendship in game. Not run with randoms from others server what will never meet before and after run. Only stable and united community can guarantee game long future, not randoms what income and leave game without make any connections with server and game community.

While I don't exactly like the way the system works, I see why things like this were put in place.

Having a static group means you get to run instances as much as you want and accumulate better loot faster because you all know how to work together and are around the same skill level. Within statics and guilds, these people may also give gear to to friends, etc. Meanwhile, people who don't have that friend base get kinda stuck waiting for PUG groups that may not be reliable. Giving those people a shorter cooldown makes sense when you consider they may have had to wait in that que for a few hours while a static can just go whenever they want. I just think of it as offsetting the long time and compensation for the risk of that PUG being a total fail.

TL;DR: The cooldown difference helps even out the playing field allowing statics and solo players to run about the same number of instances. No one is really getting an "advantage."

And that is what push them to make new friendship and build game community. By rewarding them for run with randoms they will not make any effort for find friend in game. Strength off MMO is depend by community what play. It is easy leave game where you do not have clan, friends etc. But it is hard if you have them in game. That way rewarding lazy and selfish game play and at same time punishing people who want play together is awful idea.
