Priests unite! Summon party spell needs update.

This is not a complain thread. It's regarding the mechanics of the summon party spell that makes it pretty much useless.
As a priest I like to use all my spells and I participate in many guild instance runs. As all priests know, this spell is currently useless as it only allows the priest to summon party members when they are WITHIN THE SAME PROVINCE.
Well, if I need to summon a player from Velika to Dragonfall (For an isntance run, for example), said player has to FIRST fly to Allemantheia, then FLY to Dragonfall and only then they become eligible for a summon. Needless to say at this point, its easier for them to go to the teleport master and jump to the nearest teleport point, completely ignoring my spell.
I will not even go into scrolls that also teleport a player directly to the entrance of an instance.
I mean, unless I am missing the point, this spell seems quite useless and I don't see how expanding it's reach would cause any kind of balance issue.
I would appreciate fellow priests feedback on this issue.

Personally to me the same province is fine. I just feel that they accept window needs a longer period of time. Currently it is like 10 seconds, a lot of people miss this window.

-edit- It's not fine, the spell IS useless as is. I'm with the OP this spell needs an upgrade.

So you are happy with a spell that only summons somebody that is literally at walking distance from you already?
You actually do find use for this spell in it's current state? If so, how?

Yeah, I agree. I like that other party members have to run to the same province as me, and I'm not a summon bot. But I'd like the window to be open longer.

I think it's probably more of a PvP restriction thing. Priests / Mystics quickly forming groups after they are attacked in the open world, run around for 30 seconds untill they get 4 people from guild in group, mez/fear/cc - summon, then pwn face 5v1.

Personally, I think that would awesome, but I could see how it would discourage trying to PK a Mystic or priest, knowing that you are 30 seconds away from being 5v 1 plowed.

It's not useless as is. Would it be nice if the area it could summon from was expanded? Yeah.

It's useful in PvP situations where you want to get some of your people from one area, whether close or not, to another.

I honestly dont see that after you are attacked, you would have the time to add 4 party members and summon them to your location unless you were already planning on doing this (your friends would be sitting in wait at a neighboor post), in which case, the "exploit" would still work just fine...
But damn! You would need 30 seconds for summon, then another 15-20 seconds while they are looking at a loading splash screen... and only then, considering you are alive, your awesome zerg would work...
