Greetings!

I, like many, have been a victim of the RNG gods wrath and have only been able to obtain the gloves for my Sleeper set after about 50+ FoK runs on my Slayer. My question is, if I were to purchase and enchant the chest and feet to at least +6 or +7 would it be a conceivable possiblity to engage in hardmode dungeons? My Sleeper gloves are at +8 and the rest of my armor are from random drops in FoK/BT (No quest gear equiped anywhere).
I can survive Kaprima's whirlwind if I don't dodge in time, but just barely. I want to know if there is enough defence granted from enchanting the PvP set to get by a little better.

The supposed "PvP" gear from Nexus is nearly as good as the T13 Crafted set. O-o Assuming you are talking about the ultimate stuff.

I just want to make sure it isn't dreadfully worse than the actual Sleeper set itself, because if it isn't then this would be a nice alternative to those not lucky enough to get all of their drops from FoK.

leather t12 enigmatic glove are less than 500g on VoT.


i've been using the nexus t12 glove/boot for a while now on my lancer, they're both +8. used my fane enigmatic t12s to enchant them.

after testing a +6 nexus set is better then a +9 sleeper in pvp, some pieces of the sleeper set have a tiny bit more def but over all the nexus stuff is much better and the only one you can enchant double reflects.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not interested in PvP for the time being; I'm not on a PvP server and I'll turn my focus to PvP more once battlegrounds have been released.
I would like to know if these armor pieces offer a comparable solution to the Sleeper set for PvE hardmodes.
