To have the Pvp compass to begin with tells me that to many places will be restricted on a Pvp server to begin with. As to the outlaw thing as I said It will wear off 60 sec's after no Pvp has happened, hence you will need to declare each time.




That is not true, the game prolly wasn't even built with a pvp server in mind. The compass means nothing in that regard.


You NEW to Tera ? The Pvp compass tells you where you can and can't O-Pvp. The game was most certainly built with Pvp servers In mind, It has always been part of the game. It's new to Na not new to the world. Hiss you are lost.

They were saying they were thinking about doing that.

I hope they do.

If CBT2 comes around and they do break, well, we'll just have to change that, won't we?

I should mention, the flag allows those "defender of the weak" types to assist players against Outlaws without accidentally catching the victim in the crossfire.


That's an excellent point that I didn't think of. ^^

NOW..........(not directing this at you Arrei)

I believe a 60 second timer is WAY too short though. I mean WAYYYYYY too short. I am thinking minimum 5 minutes, I would hope 10 minutes. It would make things more interesting. Guy flags and kills you, you then want to get revenge but he's not flagged anymore and you can't find him. Now if they were still flagged for say 10 minutes you or a buddy could track them down and eat their brains.

Perhaps after you are killed the timer goes away but I feel it should last longer than 60 seconds for sure for the revenge aspect and hunting. We will be on a pvp server because we like to pvp and a much longer timer will make things more interesting and fun.

Ya dunno sticky situation. One hand you got people that will pvp with class too some degree and others that will just camp you. However, if you have a chance to beat all players eg 11 gets smashed on by a 58. Yet, the skill of the level 11 player its vastly greater than the level 58 and he kills the 58. Then I am all for free for all. Otherwise, its kinda lame to get rock on by players where you have no chance of beating them just because they have a greater level.

But only YOU need to be flagged to fight. The guy's not flagged anymore when you find him? Pshaw, flag yourself and beat him upside the head.

Right. BUT. As I understood it from people talking during the last beta the people flagged as "outlaw" will show up on the map for everyone to see. So if the person was flagged for 5 or 10 minutes you could track them down. IF that isn't the case and they don't show up on the map then that is exactly what I would do.

See them, flag myself then stab them in the face with my pike!!!!

more simply. If i am level 11, I should be able to kill a level 58 in pvp. Then it really is free for all. In other games i have played, if you are lower level, you have no chance to defeat a higher level.
