Because im reaching the end of my rope. After lving 4 alts to about 40-50, TERA is becoming quite stale. And this is saying alot sincei rarely login now days. My problem is there is nothing to do while lving to 60.
In WoW (yes i went there), while lving alts i could easily queue for a reasonable time to break the grind. I could also go do some battlegrounds and level that way when i got bored of questing. In TERA this isn't possible.
If the "average wait time" was at least a good estimate then i could at least just go afk and do some other stuff and comeback when i was suspeting the queue....but no, apparently 9 minute wait time= 1-3 hours.
So what is it EnMasse? Is the only choice i have besides questing from 1-60 is rolling a lancer, the class with the playstyle i hate the most. TERA is a good game and has alot of good things, but these problems need to be addressed and fixed.
Why do people keep blaming EME for the queue times? Aside from there only being one tanking class nothing else is really their fault. DPS classes have always been the favored class in mmos and why would TERA be any different. When warriors are able to queue as tanks it isn't going to stop the wait times, and it will add another layer of frustration to an already tired system. The playerbase is responsible for the wait times, not BHS, not EME. There is very little they could do to address this problem.
Catatonic, are you serious? I will blame BlueHole and EnMasse because the blame lies soley with them.
It doesn't matter if i am on my priest, warrior, slayer, or sorc. My queue times will always be over 30 minutes and usually an hour or more. When you create an MMO, certain things should be common sense as in not making 1 class being able to queue as tanks. This should not be an issue that is pushed back to a later patch but addressed immediately.
Forcing players to play a single class is bad design, so yes i will blame BlueHole. And seeing that EnMasse is their publisher I will also blame them and tell them to fix it.
find some friends, its not enmasses fault htat there arent another 100+ lvl 30's or w.e your level is that want to do the SAME dungeon at the SAME time.
Has nothing to do with "big damage" or other bull[filtered], the issue is clear. Out of 8 classes only 1 can queue as tank. I'll count warriors once its implemented seeing words are just words and this could have easily been patched in already.
So I sit in que's all night hoping to get into a dungeon. When I finally get sick of it and run my Lancer, I get some moron playing the class I really wanted to play in the group. More often than not its the healer. The guy has no clue what he is doing, we end up having to wait for people to Stam up constantly otherwise we risk a wipe. Then at the end of it all, the guy gets the drop I've been trying for.
So yeah, thats why I don't enjoy playing Lancer.
And it most definitly is Eme's fault that the game is like this. They had to know that level restrictions, time restrictions ect. . . would kill the dungeon finder. Dungeon leader being able to kick people, would be abused. The list goes on and on.
...and dps spec warriors will start lining up to tank.
I just hope they put some safe guard in to make sure warriors are actually spec'ed for tanking before letting them que as a tank.
If you are using LFD to find your parties, you have zero room to complain about getting a bad group, or waiting a long time.
You have an entire server of people to party with, and guilds to join. Stand up, take responsibility for your own choices.
You have two (yes, count them) global channels to form groups with. You have an area group "message board." You have lowbie Lancers and Healer struggling to level on their own while you "wait" for someone to form your group for you.
Ever thought of forming a leveling duo with a Lancer? Or making friends with a Dps-class you want to play and saying "Hey, I'll be the tank, but once we get your stuff can you help me get my stuff for my alt?" Unless it's a BoP, a friend could just as easily give you their "drops" for your alt.
It is not EME's fault you have long waits. It is your fault for not being social.
:-) I have two Lancer friends, and also play 2 Lancers. In case you were wondering... I enjoy the insta-queue's right with them.
