Reality Check Aisle 4-OB peak of this game?

The fact is this game is just a collection of outdated and tired mmo concepts, paired with an improved combat system.

As much as I want to believe in the game, the bottom line is this is just another cash grab by game developers. The game did not do well in Korea or Japan, and there is no reason to believe that once the buzz of the animations and relative creativity of the races wears off we will be left with just another pointless game that gets boring after a week.

There is nothing new here. The combat is improved over point and click and the animation is better, but still the whole game is already years out of date.

The game does not stand for anything, it is just another venture to capitalize on the indiscrimate spending done by the mmo community. It was fun for a weekend, but honestly is not the answer to the void created by the way money is thrown around on these games.

Honestly everything they have done, down to the price structure, is just cut and paste from the graveyard of mmo's out there. The combat is fun, but seeing what happened to the game in its own country, leads me to believe this will be another lame duck enterprise.

I am so sick of instances, and "groups", not to mention quests and lame crafting, and hearing the letters "pvp", spend your money how you like, I want more for mine. This game is also overpriced for what it is, and if you dont believe me, see how much it costs in 3 months or so.

Cancel the pre-order. Quit the genre. Stop playing PC games. You're bored of it, and are looking for some meaning in life that a game won't provide.

Go join a parish or do volunteer work and get some meaning. Bye.

Seems worth it to me. I spend $60 on 360 games and don't even play for as long as i did in the first cbt1. If you don't like the game move on, don't linger and try to tell everyone how terrible a game they enjoy is.

I don't understand the purposes of these posts, this should be on your blog not the general discussions forum.

The only problem with your logic is that you are comparing Tera to this mystical video game that doesn't exist.

Yes Tera has its unique parts but in general it is almost identical to every other MMO out there. Quests, dungeons, raids, pvp, gear, leveling. What do you want? That's like, the definition of an mmo. If you don't enjoy it, don't pay/play it.

If you can find this mystical MMO that is completely different from any other mmo, that is free, fun and has millions of player then let me know, until then I'm going to give Tera a try because I can't feed any more money into pathetic MMOs out there trying to sponge up the last of the dollars such as WoW, EQ2, DoAC and much more.

Not sure if serious, but just in case -

Korea and Japan have vitally different social structures and values than the US does, and among those are the way they look at person to person and person (even in the context of an MMO) interactions, as well as how they view the structure of an MMO they find "good" (stemming from their societies) which means, without going into any further and unnecessary detail, that you cannot base the success of this game on the success of the game in a vastly different society, namely Korea and Japan.

If you were to follow that line of faulty logic, Aion would be bigger than WoW here in the US, as it holds the spot for the most popular MMO in Korea.

Your logic is faulty, your argument is faulty, and your whole post is worthless as there are numerous other posts filled with faulty logic and arguments that already pollute this board.

Game's been pretty awesome for me. I'm already having withdrawals and cannot wait until saturday! Dunno what game you're playing. And for the record, I can't stand WoW anymore. They're very clearly only in it for the money with how much they have changed that pile of trash.
