I never understood why the Engines of Mischief (subsequently the pet shops, IMS Rewards, etc.) were removed from the game. EME GMs say that they were "useless" and clogged up the drop pool but it's obvious to me that the EME GM either didn't play the game to the level we're at or logged on his GM account and went around smacking things for 999,999 damage. And here is why:

When optimal crystals cost nearly the same amount as the EQUIPMENT that it's going to be placed in, there's something terribly wrong. The fact that crystals can break (and quite frequently if you're PvPing) only makes the entire situation worse : We don't have tools to obtain crystals at a reasonable pace anymore. Eggs, Engines, nearly every method we had of getting crystals is gone save for killing mobs. Surprised that there aren't any crystals anymore?
The entire point of removing the Engines, according to the GMs, was that they were frequently "useless". All they did was clog up the drop pool and players had never used them. So instead of substituting the engines with an alternative, they just flat out removed them. All of them. And that would be fine if you could purchase the Engines from an NPC like you always could, except they don't sell them anymore. So by "clearing up the drop pool", they've basically made us totally reliant on the drop pool for crystals at this point.
Engines of Crystalline Mischief II, originally sold by NPCs for 2,100 gold, was our solution. By taking any crystal and rolling it into a random Fine crystal of its level, you could roll those obnoxious Virulents that nobody would care for into something useful. The Engines were cheap, crystals were easier to come by, and everybody could easily replace lost crystals from death. Removing the Engines from the game completely definitely impacted us, but for the worse rather than for the better. To be honest I wouldn't mind if drop pools included the Engines, because really crystals are a pain in the [filtered] to obtain now.
Can we please have enough of EME listening to this "feedback" from its forum and can you please put back things in your game that were intended to be used by the players? Enough of removing items and things from your game as a solution to a non-existent problem. Bluehole put these things in because they're useful to players, not because they're a hindrance. And the players of your game doesn't need to be babied around in order to suit the "western audience". Just leave the game as it is, or rather what it used to be.
Christ, this is the first time I've asked somebody to not listen to their players.
