Remodeling (Limitations)

I was wondering when the remodeling will be updated to include all the various armor skins within the game. Since remodeling doesnt follow the traditional aspect of "place your current armor in the remodel slot and another armor in the template slot to skin"; we have been given a small number of templates instead. Is Tera going add the rest of the armor skins as seen in the game or adopt the previous idea stated earlier? Another question I would like to add is the fact that after doing a costly reskin, will there be an update allowing the skinned item to be used as a template for later armor remodeling?

If anything, crafted armors can be used as templates.

This.

Unfortunately, you can't seem to preview the models from your crafting window to see what they'll look like, so you pretty much have to guess...

Generally speaking (so I'm saying this as a big assumption) the better-looking armors are the high level ones. Unless, of course, you had a specific appearance that you were going for.

Too many limitations, IMO. We aren't playing a F2P MMO.

I hope the devs give us more freedom with this nice feature.

Yeah I'm either clueless on how to obtain templates from other sources than the merchant that sells only 7 templates tier 1-6 and some other one or there is a serious lack of remodel options I mean im sure there are some out there that might like what is sold but seriously not only do we have little choice but the choices are lame too. I agree this isnt a F2P, we are subscription holders and I for one expect a bit better feature results.

Indeed our armor custumization in Tera has little to no freedom. Oh btw, what did you mean by "we aren't playing a F2P MMO"? Vindictus(F2P) has, among most others, the MOST freedom with customization of armor/weapons. You can:

- Remodel different armor types

-Dye any/multiple parts of your armor AND weapons

-More armor pieces (generic helm/chest/legs/shoes/gloves)

-Various armor styles and what not, an insane amount of them too.

In addition to the very overpriced template vendor, you can also use any crafted weapon/armor as a template. And from the korean patch notes, they got a patch late last month that made any armor lvl 58 and under eligible for use as a template. Only question now is when we will get the patch.

I say they should sell 'costume' versions of all the templates that you can put in the currently locked armor section of the costume tab.

Just make them cost like 10 times as much.

I really don't understand why this game didn't go with a LOTRO/Rift-style of gear customization.... it's so much better. :(
