Remove Guild Population Cap

With the newly implemented cool-down on changing guilds, it has become very difficult for Vanarch guilds at or near the cap to capture the lower level PP BAM's. Prior to this change, my guild was leaving a 15 character buffer between our main guild and our alt guild so that members could move into the main guild to kill a lower level PP BAM. Now that opportunity is either lost, or a spot in the main guild has to be filled by a moderately dormant character for the eventuality that it may be used to kill a PP BAM in it's level range. I don't really understand the logic of a guild cap, but it is definitely hurting the game's most active guilds by keeping it in place.

Please remove the guild population cap so all my guilds characters can be in the same guild and not be penalized by an unintended consequence of people exploiting the GVG Vanarach system. Thank you.

Don't worry, population cap of guilds won't matter when population of servers continues to sink.

Except if anyone knows anything about my guild they know we are no where near what I would call a "zerg" guild, just a very active community and guild, heavily invested in TERA.

Edit: I think one thing about the 4chan and reddit guilds etc... is that they reveal themselves to have little depth of character eventually and the quality players move on. So yeah, a sad consequence of removing the cap may be that the real "zerg" guilds explode in population, but the quality guilds will also have a chance to create a level playing field of higher quality players.

Unfortunately we have been kicking inactive players for over a month now and still remain at or near the cap because of the strength of our recruitment and our track record for being a good Vanarch. So even if the server tanks (and it won't since we're on VoT) my guild will always likely struggle with the cap.

Same for me. My guild have been at around cap since CBT. Plus 300 don't make for a big guild.

The solution here is to make each account only take up one slot in the guild, no matter how many alts they bring in.

If I join a guild with 150 members, the count should go up to 151. If I then bring in 5 of my alts, the count should stay at 151.

This would still restrict guilds to 300 distinct people that could be logged on at the same time, no matter how many characters were in the guild.

The only downside to this is the increased loading time when you open the Guild pane - They'd have to optimize this a little, because loading a 300 characters takes long enough; never mind loading almost 3,000.

On my server we have a lot of crazies that think 150 is a huge zerg, so imagine what they think of 300, so we downsized from 280 to 130 by deleting all our alts and inactives to get them to shutup.

Territ (the reddit guild) on Jagged Coast clears out inactive members at the three week mark. Three weeks without logging in = kick. Helps to ensure that those are are in the guild are at least somewhat active.

Generally the guild has around 280 people in it (some of them are definitely alts), and anywhere from 11-30 people online at almost any time of day (except 10 AM when everyone is asleep, at work, at school, or some combination of those).

The problem here isn't the guild cap itself, it's not being able to bring in your alts without filling up spaces that could be given to other active and distinct players.
